Yeah before all my friends moved to a PS4, they all gamed on the 360. It was boring when they weren't online but when they were it was a hell of a time! 

I currently have a nice rig in my opinion ( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wTtbmG ) and have $200 cash. I can sell my Xbox 360 plus the games and probably have enough to last on my PS4. The reason I want a PS4 is because ever since I started PC gaming I have sometimes have the feeling of regret when I have my PC. What makes it even hard is that ALL my friends aren't tech savy, so they would rather much get a PS4 than building a PC. This has made me lonely ever since I started since I don't really have anyone I know to play with.
 
     In all would it be better to slowly back away from PC gaming or dive right in?:
 
PS4= Play with friends but cost more due to subscription services, expensive games, etc.
 
PC= AMAZING quality games, cheap prices, but no friends to play with.

Don't know about the chair since any office chair will do depending on the quality. I got a nice office chair for $20 so do some local shopping on the chair.
You can probably find more desks/chairs you might like if you look on craigslist. Plus it will save some money for other things.
