when i was younger, im only 25 now, But i went down the line of electronics, Engineering and robotics then welding, fabrication and metal work, My first job was hand soldering processors on to computer motherboards with a soldering iron and a magnifying glass, then the company i worked for brought a machine to do the job when i was 17, programming was done in machine code, binary 01000100101001010 and hexadecimal, Logic gates. and code which is now obsolete.
But my point is i had to co-interview fresh faced uni students who had many degrees in all these amazing qualifications, software side there better at the new stuff. but technology is becoming ever more assessable, parts are designed to be very functional and easy to use, almost plug and play. The moral of this story is no ones better than anyone else just because they built a computer when they were the youngest, especially at a time were its actually possible to build them cheaply, second moral, listen to your elders .
