Well the i7 build has the better CPU and GPU, so I'd go with it if you can afford it and are willing to pay for it. There's nothing wrong with pairing an i7 with a 1070 or pairing an i5 with a 1080, by the way.

Hmmm... Well I would start looking to try a different PSU, if you still have the issue I would then start looking at the motherboard.

No problemo.  I'm glad it works... 2TB is a lifesaver on these new consoles.

What cpu/motherboard do you have?
 
It does look like any fx series cpu has ecc support, am3+ motherboards with ecc support might be a problem though.

You probably have the Update file and not the full OS file.
 
How big is it?  If you have one that's about 300MB, that's the wrong one.  The full OS file is almost 900MB.

Scroll to the very bottom and expand the section titled, "Perform a new installation of the system software."

The answers no. The only things you can change about a graphics card are the clock/memory speeds and the cooler. These wouldn't help you in your VRAM situation.

the issue with using a DSLR as a webcam is that the sensor inside is NOT made for long-term operation, and some DSLR's will actually shut down to protect themselves after 30-odd minutes of sensor operation.
 
depending on what you need the image for, i'd suggest just getting a high quality webcam (they exist) or a capture card and a quality video camera.

DSLR senors only tend to let you record for between 10 min and 30 mins (from what i can see on google). my d3100 only record for 10 mins. This is because the sensor gets hot while recording so you're limited.
 
You should just by a 1080 Webcam.

Bootcamp makes it instantly a high end windows machine that can also use osx apps when needed

Mac's absolutely repulse me for three reasons:
 
1. Paying for hardware I could get much cheaper somewhere else: (this one is self-explanatory)
 
2. Their OS is complete garbage: It's a very confusing OS to learn, and it just pretty much messed up
 
3. Hardly any third-party support: Mac's mostly use programs developed by Apple. On Windows there are much more programs I could freely use.
 
BONUS: Apple, stop trying to convince me with your thin pretty Macbook Air crap.
 
 
I woud say more but I could go on for hours about how terrible Macs are. 

Price to performance ratio is almost non-comparable to PC's.

People dog them so much, but what do you guys really think?
 
Personally OSX, especially Capitan and the newer versions, are a pleasure to use, although I still love the Windows 10 experience and the like. The only drawback in my opinion is lack of support on certain programs from the Internet, stuff like Dolphin Emulator, many certain Steam games, and those kinda things (not even sure if Dolphin is supported, just using as an example). 
 
I think the aesthetics are great. If the newest MacBook actually had some vents, I would consider getting it and BootCamping it and using as a daily driver (however my mileage may vary ). But the design just has drawbacks, and I don't like spending a crap ton on adapters. 
 
What do you guys honestly think about Mac computers (excluding the Mac Pro). I know this has probably been a thread before, but what actually do you guys think?
