the r9 290x was very cheap, ive got it secondhand today for only 230euro while new cost still 399euro but i was affraid since the r9 290x is very power hungry live in Belgium and the prices here are to high compared to the us gtx 980 ti costs here 839euro so in us dollars its around 935 usd Thx for the reponse

+1 Nvidia forums is overwhelmed with ppl that have kepler gpu's and are pissed off titan black/z and gtx 780ti sli is getting beaten by a gtx 980 and gtx 780 beaten by a low end gtx 960, my gtx 770 beats the gtx 960 in all games except the ones that have gameworks and even with those features off kepler gpu's are getting pwnd by maxwell. very sad moment for the ppl that have invested more then 600 dollars last year to be outperformed by a gpu that cost only 300 dollars espesially when those kepler gpu's are as powerfull as the newly maxwell gpu's Nvidia, the way it meant tp be played for Maximum a YEAR

with the release of the maxwell gpu's nvidia has deliberate Not optimised the drivers for kepler users, especially with games that are sponsored by nvidia with gameworks like project cars and witcher 3 where a gtx 780ti getting beaten by a gtx 970 and a gtx 780 beaten by a mere gtx 960. This needs to be in every media and its not about tesselation that the maxwell performed better then kepler, because game like metro last light and batman arkham origins etc... are getting better frames per second with the gtx 780ti then the gtx 970, so basicly nvidia stopped optimising kepler gpu's for some time. the nvidia harware forum is all over this downgrading/ not optimising for kepler and this needs media attention even ppl with titan z and gtx 780 ti sli setups are getting beaten by a single gtx 980 is ridiculous. now with recent events like gtx 970 is not 4gb but 3.5 +0.5 gb and the latest notebook drivers not capable of overclocking. Nvidia seems to think it can get away with anything because of its dominant place @ current market. So Linus crew, pls put this in the media attention. it has allready have some media attention in a couple of big gaming forums/sites/blogs but still not enough. Nvidia needs to apologies to the entire world for this mess. if they have the balls Jen-Hsun Huang ceo of nvidia needs to know how his company is pushing ppl to there limits of anger and frustration. and turning them to the red team
