Personally, I've never understood overcomplicated media servers for home use. I have a super simple set up which involves utilizing an old external hard drive that is connected to a tp link router via usb. I upload movies, pictures and tv shows which can be streamed to our roku tv. Done.

You don't need an overly powerful system to serve as a NAS. To give you an idea of how little processing power you need, in the past I've used a raspberry pi 3 connected to an external hdd, which worked just fine if videos did not require transcoding. While connected via ethernet port, it streamed 1080p video flawlessly.

Your media needs may be a bit more involved than mine, but I try to keep everything as simple and cost efficient as possible.

If you are into gaming and don't want to overclock
    intel i5 3570 is a great choice,

and asrock z77 Extreme4 as for the motherboard,

No it isnt, Im using an AMD chip, and yes I noticed some improvement, but the overall experience is the same.

You only recommend K processors. Why is that? Not every gamer wants to OC their machine. Not being rude, just a constructive criticism.

I'd go with sapphire, the reason being its a refrence PCB and you can water clock it easily for achieving higher overclocking if you wanna do it later.
    Also it has lesser noise.

Yeah,at least we don't have to buy ps eye. I believe ps4 hardware more expensive than xbone because it use gddr5 and gddr5 is more expensive than ddr3

Upgrade to atleast 7950 or 660Ti both are nearly equivalent.

And for the mobo, MSI z87 series has come out nice and has a lot of good features as well.

Corsair 200r is a good choice as it combines cable management, simple design and good airflow.

If your voltage is not high enough to support the clock, your computer won't have a stable overclock and it will revert to default. Trying to run a multiplier too high for a voltage is like trying to drive a car with little to no gas. It just won't work or it might boot and shut down. Don't freak out if you get a bsod. Just reboot and it will go back to default.
If your cpu gets too hot, it will automatically shut down.
You only need to make sure your voltage is 1.4v or below. Any higher and you venture into "possibly unsafe" territory. By this, I mean it may degrade your cpu faster but not by a significant amount. You generally don't need a voltage higher than 1.4v unless you're doing a crazy overclock.
Basically, if you keep the voltage below 1.4v, nothing should or could go wrong.

The GD65 is the only one good for overclocking.  The G45 is alright, the G43 not really.
