foxystarfox got a reaction from CameronDSetty in PSA: Amazon "Prime Day Larger than black friday sale" Hype thread
Fair, dude I just want to see some discounted X99 boards. I've been waiting for something decent to drop down to the 150 range for ages.

haha sorry for being a bit harsh, thanks for your kind response.
It's just soooo many people make threads with these $10k builds that choose stupid parts that, even at the price point, don't make sense.
I totally understand any personal preferences, when it comes to a case and a keyboard I can understand that.

All valid points, but I wasn't trying to showcase the perfect dream build, the entire point was I wasted my time. Blame PCP for the Klevv pricing.
The videocards were placed in the proper category, PCP just throws them down in other if they can't link to their own site.
I'd like to defend the H630 and K70 under the entirely rational arguments that I just like them, yeah they're completely out of place, but whatever I can't decide what I want when the price point climbs high enough in those categories. I like the dual wheel on the MX master and the whole switching bluetooth profiles thing.
Forgetting to swap out the 5820K is pretty egregious though I have to admit, started from another build and didn't even think to change it once I got into the EK parts.

Alright, except for the graphics card I think this is a machine I can stand behind building.

DDR4 is much more power efficient and no you will be fine without heatsinks as ram temperature is not affected by cpu overclocking.

+1 @LiamApex
The psu has more than enough capacity for the build, cpu & gpu overclocking, and aging.
If it can fit in the budget, a more powerful gpu would improve editing/rendering performance.

When it comes to computing and GPU's are better.

Scrapyard Wars is already a money-losing proposition for us until we can find some big sponsors for it. Single part feature length videos just aren't doable with our current model

I'd give it at least 4 cringles out of 5

keep the i7-4790k. its enough good.
this is great build.
850W is overkill. you'd be fine with a good 600/650 considering you only going to have one 980Ti or 970

I thought the part where Luke accidentally knocked that kid off of his bicycle while carrying the case was pretty cringleworthy.
