So, I know that immediately removes lots of the very small ITX cases, but I'm looking to downsize from a mid tower case, trying to make my PC as small as I can for moving the PC around more easily in the future, but I'm trying to reuse as much as I can as my budget for the whole upgrade isn't huge and would like to focus on upgrading the "core" components (CPU, GPU), here's kinda what I was hoping for: I want to be able to continue to use my EVGA 850W G2 PSU (180mm length) I would like to have a side panel with a window(will forfiet for the right case) I would like one, 3.5 drive mount, one 2.5 drive mount I would like support for 120mm or 240mm rad(will forfiet for the right case) I've been doing lots of searching to find the smallest/most easily portable case that I can I'm currently looking at are: CM MasterCase Pro 3 (mATX) because the top portion looks like it has a natural handle to it for carrying. Corsair 250D, or 380T, both ITX cases, that are more mATX size, but the 380T has a carrying handle, and the 250D has more of the "look" I like. I've also checked out the Enthoo Evolv ITX and it is a contender as well as the Fractal Design Define S (currently have a Define R5) Thanks for any suggestions.

I wasn't limiting myself to a monitor labelled as portable or mobile, any monitor that has a convenient stand is really what Im looking for, but as JefferyD90 suggested, a VESA mount with a compatible monitor might be my best bet, a little bit more setup involved than a monitor with an easy stand, but a good solution none the less

Yeah, I've seen that, only problem is, I think a 15.6 inch screen is a bit too small to game on at a LAN event for hours. I'm not a laptop guy, it's too laptop sized. AOC makes a 17 inch one, but it's 1600x900 unfortunately. There was a Kickstarter company that made a 17 inch 1080p display, but they went under sometime before launch it seems.

As the title may give away, I'm looking for a small display. I am downsizing my PC with the goal of being a bit more mobile with it (LAN events and such), so I'm moving to a mini ITX system, and in addition to that I want to have a backpack I can throw a monitor, small keyboard, and mouse into, and be good to go. So I'm looking for a 17-21 inch monitor I can throw in a fairly regular size backpack, so it needs a folding stand or stand that stores easily but still have a half decent display for gaming on at friends houses/LANs etc, 1080p 60Hz 5ms response time is all I really need for that display as primary gaming at home will be done on the 144hz Asus. Open to suggestions!

doubtful considering it'll be cooled by an H100i V2 I have no problem with itx, I don't need expansion room, I'm going to be running a 1080, with 500GBs of SSD storage, and 2TBs of mass storage. I'm moving, and plan on attending a lot of events that require my PC in the coming year, having a small PC with a handle, and a backpack with a small(ish) monitor, 65% keyboard, and a mouse would make my life 100x easier than having a couple extra PCI slots will.

I'm planning my rig updates for the year, and I'm not spending a ton, mostly moving from a big bulky system to something a bit smaller easier to move around. I currently am running a 4570K, with 16GBs of DDR3 RAM, (which I want to keep using) I'll also be carrying over my SSD, HDD, PSU, what I'm wondering is it really worth upgrading to Skylake if I'm going to be buying a DDR3 board anyways, and not utilizing NVMe and such since I'm reusing my old drives? I assume the performance difference isn't huge. Is it a better idea to just get a new ITX mobo and case, and save the extra money for whatever comes after Skylake perhaps?

Windows freezing after sound card install
jamesisninja replied to jamesisninja's topic in Troubleshooting
Tried that, and a few other things, tried uninstalling audio drivers completely, seemed to mess it all up, won't even boot into safe mode anymore, so I guess I'm just reinstalling windows. -
Windows freezing after sound card install

I've confirmed its a windows problem now. Pc boots Linux and safemode fine, it only freezes when booting into windows none safe mode, its not a physical issue. Any diagnostic tools/ideas? -
Windows freezing after sound card install
jamesisninja replied to jamesisninja's topic in Troubleshooting
So I took the sound card out, same freezing problem still, so I booted in safe mode, safe mode works. So I uninstalled all the drivers, and rebooted with the card out, still freezes, which makes me think it's a registry problem? I tried a system restore, and it froze, so then I tried a different back up point, and it gave me an error. -
Hey LTT I really hope someone here can help me figure this out. I got a Sound Blaster Z today, installed it, then installed the drivers and restarted my pc, about 10 seconds after I log into windows with my pin, the cursor turns to the sand Timer, and I can move the cursor around but nothing work, can't click anything, have to hard reboot, sound comes out my headphones connected to the soundcard in those 10 seconds though. I'm trying a system recovery now, then I figured I'd try and install the drivers again and hope it was a freak accident. Failing that, a fresh windows recovery install. Posting from my phone now, ill answer any questions you need to help me out! Thanks! Specs: i5 4570K @4.5 ghz Msi gtx 970 Asrock Z97 pro4 mobo Evga 850w G2 psu

Its a BitsPower Z res, I know the model, just not the size, 250 seems to be the consensus
