  1. So there is nothing stopping Nintendo from adding its entire library since they just implemented the same Emulation as the mini's. This online service has too many forced limitations than it should.
  2. With the Macbook refresh recently. People keep mentioned bigger battery to compensate for the new RAM. Can you test the validity of back when Apple was saying they had less RAM to save battery when so many other laptops are able to get similar battery life. More of a... The Workshop episode I guess.
  3. Yep I selected the 970. Playback was at 1/4 or 1/8, I can't remember.
  4. I am using 15 as well. This might be it, I don't know what file format would be best. I have MOV from Fujifilm XT20.
  5. Fujifilm XT20. I have it. Love it. Now more then ever Fujifilm over Canon for cameras. The lens quality of the 18-55mm lens is amazing. The Film Simulations are amazing. I have tweaked some contrast, saturation, highlights etc IN THE camera settings to the way I like them, and now I barely use Lightroom to edit portrait photos. They just turn out better from the film simulation JPEGs than me editing the RAWs. Different story for landscapes, where I express a bit more creativity. So up to you how you choose to use the power of the simulations. The regular camera software updates is why Fujifilm got so much ground past few years. They were one of the first to start that trend in high end photography and continue to do it. Their overall lens lineup is high quality, and better than current mirrorless Canon lineup. Overall XT20 was 2017 top under 1000 camera, especially since it has the EXACT same sensor as their top end XT2 but the software just doesn't have the added video features. Dials are fun to use and the camera encourages creative and framing instead of post processing to get the picture the way you want it. Video recording is great but not as great as the Sony lineup. Mirrorless top three are Sony, Panasonic and Fujifilm. Canon can't compete with them at this point.
  6. Is there a way to make DaVinci Resolve more usable? The timeline scrolling is super slow and playback is always stuttering for me. Edit: System i5-4590, 16GB RAM, GTX 970 I really like the layout and quick editing style that the software allows for. And the freely available is a huge plus to install on multiple devices. I want to get it to work, but I keep going back to other stuff because of the constant stuttering. Using latest one with the GPU rendering option selected.
  7. Luke & James really is the best combo for news and fun. Luke & Linus is the best combo when there are no tech topics and when Lukes Mom calls. And occasional guest appearances from the rest of the crew is totally fine. This shows for entertainment not news.
  8. Can you test out this device? Not for gaming or that but how it compares with other IoT devices. BeagleBone, RPi, Arduino maybe even an FPGA. Someone can test out the programming and dev related features to see the viability of these for the price. Just because it's "Hackable" I have no idea what kinds of projects can be run on it that we couldn't on a regular computer.
  9. I have this old iPod music station. I don't want to deal with loading music on my old iPod Touch and manually changing things. There is an AUX port but I thought this might be a good DIY opportunity. Unfortunately I have no clue what I am doing and no idea what forums to post to in order to get help. If somebody can help me out by guiding me somewhere more specialized of maybe just help out here since there are plenty of creative people. I attached pics of the way it looks and the insides. I took it apart to see how much space there was. And took out the iPhone port, the cable is just a 5pin. Not sure if there is any room for a big battery setup. What I want to do is cut out the spot where to iPhone port was. Replace it with LCD display instead. Have an Arduino connected the 5-pin port to deal with display and music through Bluetooth. I do not know how the 5-pin port works and still need to buy all the parts. I want to make this into a portable Bluetooth speaker setup if possible. Otherwise having it plugged to wall is fine. It would be a huge bonus if I could setup an assistant like Alexa. Any help and guidance is appreciated. Help with parts, a new forum or tips on how to interface the 5-pin port.
  10. I will try to see about making some videos as we go through this. I am excited to record the project and will post back if people want.
  11. I am just doing the electrical portion. Budget is up to 800. Do you have suggestions for forums or specific websites that deal with this stuff?
  12. Hey there. I am currently researching hobby rocket stuff. My team plans to launch a rocket 30,000 ft in the sky. I am looking for help on three things. 1. Microcontroller - Looking for a fantastic microcontroller to implement the sensors and communicate data. So far just looking at options from Arduino due to various options and robust library. 2. Sensors - Where to find high precision sensors that will work with said microcontroller. Need stuff like GPS, Gyroscope, Temperature/Humidity, Pressure maybe even camera. The type of accuracy I am looking for is stuff like real time GPS, sensor able to recognize up to 30G pressure, gyro that can give rotational data etc. 3. Communication - Looking for a method to communicate the data from the sensors live from the rocket. Current idea is to use HAM Radio. Currently limited to the public wavelengths that do not require license. So transmitting the GPS, Gyro, Pressure in real time is something I am looking for. Best possible option would be a method that can also transmit video of any quality. Currently thinking of getting arduino setup to work with sensors, transfer that data to a raspberry pi. The pi would then be connected to the radio stuff to transmit the data to a base station. The base station would do calculation and plot the data. Unless if the arduino is capable of transferring the data through a module of some sort. Thank you for any help. Edit: Forgetting about radio. Moving on to LoRA or LTE-M
  13. I cannot SSH. And I am using the IP address to try to connect. Tried adding http and http to see if that would work and nothing. Tried in Firefox, Opera and Chrome.
  14. I can access the SAMBA shares to copy files to and from the server. But I cannot access the web interface. I believe that I will have to reinstall onto the USB. Problem is that I do not want to go through the process of setting up all my settings. Are there some files I can just backup from the USB to copy over after reinstall to save those settings? Will I also have to reinstall the addons?
  15. When you say Internal and External support are you referring to concepts similar to Patreon but more organized to help the content creator with distributing their work? Mix of YouTube, Patreon, Web Store features will be available for the creator? Could you post VLOGS or videos about the development of this. The things needed to learn, practice, workout, and hopes? Mini-CS tutorials? I want more info about this. And maybe learn how to make something of my own.
  16. LMG, I have been watching since the garage days. I have always enjoyed your content. It always had something funny and tech related. I haven't considered you a sell-out or anything of the sort. I enjoy what you are doing and I believe you are one of the few top tech YouTubers going about things the correct way. The others haven't changed since they made YouTube their job. And even though they are growing I believe they will become stagnant really quickly due their lack of content that appeals to different communities. You have used your employees knowledge and created the camera videos. LTT have made tons of improvement in quality. LTT have put out daily content that I am 90% sure I will watch everyday. The one thing I cannot stand is your titles. I can't search through them properly to find what I want and in the coming years that will be a huge pain if I want to recommend something. I don't care about the thumbnails. All I care is proper titles so I can find something. Can you figure something out, because it's hard to find something when you don't put the product you are reviewing in the title. Like your many monitor videos that have blended together. So many "BIGGEST" titles that I don't know if you mean your first Ultrawide size big or the recent whatever company it was 34inch one.
  17. Hello. I am super new to programming apps. I have previous basic C++, VHDL and HTML/CSS/JS experience. I want to practice a project. Sending an SMS and figuring out how communication works intrigued me. But I have no clue where to start. And I really do not want to program in Java. Is there a way to program in Python or any other language to make an SMS app? Can I use Android Studio for other languages? Can Unreal be used for game making? Or what's better? Where can I find libraries? I see posts on the sub showing off new libraries. But I don't even know where to find the basic ones. Is there a proper up-to date guide for the entire process of app making and testing? I couldn't find new stuff for android 7. Thank you. Super sorry for noob questions. I didn't know where to ask on how to get started.
  18. Scrapyard Wars Season 6 - THE REVENGENING: Jay,Kyle,Paul vs Linus,Luke,Wendell. Scrapyard Wars "six seasons and a movie": Regular scrapyard wars but everyone on their own, camera crews covering everyone. End goal is something similar to HighLANder videos. Best system to play easily and remotely.
