  1. I would be willing to bet that the ram can be overclocked, but getting it to 3200 would make you the all-time grand winner of the silicon lottery.
  2. In today's market (I refuse to predict the future) 16GB is usually enough for most single player games. There are a few games that will need more but they are few and far between. Most online games won't require more, although there are a few that might. The average person would be hard pressed to notice a 5% (3 to 7 FPS increase, game settings depending) that increased ram would provide. Currently, the only real advantage to having 32GB over 16GB is that some games have small memory leaks. This basically translates to playing for longer periods of time between CTD's.
  3. As SpookyCitrus said, when using DDR4 ram it is always best to use rams SETS. You can mix and match but that can take days of fiddling with bios settings and the results are never as good as using a set of ram sticks. Basically mix and match is migraine inducing for even the most expert among us. Additionally, ram clocked over 2133 is considered an overclock. The listed ram speed for a stick or set is not a guarantee, it is a certification. 3200mhz ram has been tested and certified to run at 3200mhz but what you can actually run it at will vary from system to system (in some rare cases you might even be able to run if faster). I would suggest doing as Spooky said with the exception of booting at 2133mhz. Then stress test the memory. Then selecting the next up XMP profile and stress testing. Keep repeating the process until you run into stability issues. Then back it down one step and leave it there.
  4. I have no idea what the denaturing additives are in Lasol 100. Quite often the chemical/s added to ethanol is/are methanol, isopropyl alcohol or acetone. If one of these is the denaturing agent, it should be fine. Having said that, there are some denatured alcohols that contain dyes and/or lacquers which you will probably want to avoid.
  5. I voted no (an emphatic no). Social media is a mixture of information and misinformation. Basically it is white noise.
  6. Ummmm, battle damaged Star Destoyer?
  7. I am too egalitarian to block someone. (Translation: To lazy to bother learning how.) ?
  8. I am a retired old fart so my goal for this year is fairly simple, survive another year. ?
  9. It may not be the card. Some of the things you can try... Try changing the your card's settings. Try reseating your card. Try your card in a different expansion slot. Try reorienting the wireless router (the radio signal sent out is not a perfect sphere). Try reorienting your computer. Try moving (temporarily) your computer to where your brothers computer is located.
  10. I am just kind of curious as to what the OP thinks could render the Earth uninhabitable and humans extinct (other than feminism as aezakmi hinted). I mean really, we are quite a bit like cockroaches, you can kill us in large numbers but some of us always reach the safety of the walls when the lights go on.
  11. Well then, the Wilson Combat Texas BBQ Special. Only because I like the name, not the price ($5-6k, shudder). ?
  12. What are you planning on using this thing for anyway? If is is self/home defense, then any 1911 from a reliable manufacturer in the $1000 price range is all you need. Pistol gun fights in the home and on the street are typically at rock throwing distance so you don't need a $2000, sub MOA 1911 with tolerances so tight that you can drive tacks at a 200 meters. If you are planning on concealed carry, you want a single stack magazine. If you are planning on competition, then you will want a 1911 with tighter tolerances than found in a good combat 1911. There are some very accurate 1911's that can be had for $1500 to $2000. Any price you pay past that is for bling more than anything else.
  13. This year, I resolved to not make any New Year's resolutions. That way, later, I can honestly claim that I did not break my New Year's reso................................................................................................................................................ DAMMIT! >< Anyway, Happy New Year, everyone.
