  1. I just bought a Crucial MX300 M.2 SSD to upgrade from my old hard drive. I am using the Asus Z170-AR motherboard. I am reluctant to do a fresh install of windows directly on to it because I don't know whether or not it will reject my license key, so I tried using the 'Acronis True Image HD' software to clone the Windows installation from the old HDD to my new SSD instead. Everything seemed to be working fine until I tried to boot into the SSD. I am greeted with the usual windows login screen, but after a few seconds the cursor shows up with the little loading thing, and the screen flashes from the login screen to black over and over again. It does not respond to any clicks or keystrokes. I have tried again and again unsuccessfully. What could the issue be? I cant find a working guide anywhere.
  2. The plastic connection bit at the end of the cable is just too thick. My old evga psu connected just fine, as it was quite a bit thinner. I was just looking to see if anyone with the same case and power supply had found a solution.
  3. They are not 90 degrees, just too thick. Any high quality extensions/replacements that you could recommend or are they all the same?
  4. Sorry for not being specific enough, I am using both the 2.5" and 3.5" drive mounts, however the issue is not with the SATA cables but with the power cable from the psu. They are too large making them unable to connect to a WD Blue drive when it is mounted.
  5. I have an Inwin 303 and Corsair RM750x. The hard drive power cables cant connect to the hard drive while it is screwed in to the inwin drive mount, forcing me to leave my hard drives unmounted in the front of the case. Thankfully the psu is modular so I can change out the cable. Has anyone else had this problem?
  6. Agreed.. just want to make sure that there are no better options out there
  7. Is this the best buy? I'd prefer the monitor's stand and bezels look nice as well as it have good specs. What would you recommend?
  8. upgrading my GPU is part of the plan too, I will most likely buy a 1060
  9. Makes sense, and I could wait and get a 6600K for about $200 during some sort of Black Friday / holiday sale.
  10. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU to an 8370, but it doesn't seem like micro-atx boards for the am3+ socket are very common. Can anyone recommend a motherboard that they have used or should I just get a bigger case?
  11. I currently have an Athlon X4 860K, 8Gb of ram and an r7 260x. I am looking into buying a new graphics card. Currently the RX 480 (8GB) and GTX 1060 are my top choices because of the price. I am wondering how badly my CPU would bottleneck the cards, and if it would still be worth the $250 or so upgrade. I do plan on upgrading my CPU within the next few months.
  12. I have been leaning towards the 7559 for the past few weeks, should I get the 1080p option for $800, upgrade the ram and add an m.2 ssd or just go with the 4k model for $1k?
  13. Light photo/video editing, school work and occasional gaming
  14. well by thin I mean not thick.. i dont expect anything better than a 960m but i just want some good choices
  15. Can anyone recommend a laptop for at or less than $1k? Preferably thin, most importantly powerful. Thanks.
