    If you got the know how and you trust your internet provider at home, perhaps try to setup your own vpn with for example openvpn. From experience it can be used with 2 people and it's free.

    Everything - A file finding program, I use is when i forgot where I placed a file but remember part of the filename. Notepad++ - Because screw the regular notepad (also has syntax support which is amazing) Putty - An ssh and telnet client since I need to connect to servers allot.
