  1. Hi all, today i upgraded my PC to a Ryzen 3000 system and decided to use my 2 year old Corsair H75 AIO. whilst trying to change the Intel plate to the AM4 one i was an idiot and didn't look how to actually do it and started unscrewing the bottom plate and a small amount of liquid came out, once i realised i immediately tightened all the screws and ive left it to dry. would it still be fine to use or could i try refill it or is it done for? Cheers
  2. yep, and its on sale atm!
  3. Hey everyone, when using my laptop (i5 6200, 8GB, Windows 10) and browsing on chrome, whenever I click on a text box my laptop freezes for a few seconds before returning to normal but doesn't do the same when searching or clicking on links. are there any fixes for this? or should I just use a different browser like firefox? Cheers
  4. Hey everyone, I recently bought a second-hand laptop which the previous owner had reset the laptop and reinstalled windows 10 pro installed, however, the key present on it is a windows 10 home key. my question is what is the best way to change my windows install form pro to home whilst keeping the current key on the laptop? cheers
  5. I recently bought an Asus VG248QE monitor and it also has a 1ms response time, not 7ms like you mentioned. I cant say anything about the Zowie but so far I've loved the Asus monitor so can recommend it the only issue I have with it (I'm actually about to put a post about it) is that the display port input doesn't seem to work correctly but this is supposedly only present on a few displays and has a few fixes. so take that as you will but in general and 120/144hz monitor with a response time below about 5ms should be good for you
  6. That does look great but I it doesn't say about having a freestand with it Also holy crap that's expensive
  7. The monitor i currently have and the one I'm buying both have 100mm x 100mm Vesa mounts
  8. Hey Everyone, I'm buying a second monitor soon and my current desk is fairly small and I cant access the back of the desk (joys of being a student), however next year I'm going to be moving somewhere elsewhere where I can. so is there a mount that someone can recommend me the to hold 2 24" monitors that comes with a free stand as well as a c clamp? Cheers
  9. Hi all, so my laptop is getting quite old now and I've not changed the mechanical drive in it since I first got it. in its current state I have it triple booted with Windows 10, Ubuntu and Kali Linux and have noticed that the general tasks is incredibly slow and sometimes when booting into windows I get a message saying that it cant even find the partition. I understand that I need to buy a new drive anyway because I'm certain that its about to die anyway, but does making as many separate partitions as I have affect the drives performance even if the laptop is only running 1 OS?
  10. Hi all recently my membrane keyboards w key and a few others have decided to stop working and im looking to move to a mechanical keyboard, however, i dont have the money to go out and buy some of the +£100 keyboards out there. Im looking for something no more than £50 with and num pad and back lighting is preferable but not necessary, not to fussed about the switches used (i know its not gonna be cherrys at this price anyway but still) ive had a look around and can find some but a lot of videos ive seen on budget mechanical keyboards the keyboards they show are either unavailable or rediculously expensive for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you!
  11. So at some point in the future im looking to go to an X99 build and ive decided on pretty much everything that i want for when i gets built eeeeeeeexcept the CPU, now ive been looking around and the I7 chips on the 2011 V3 socket are good but super expensive, however ive been looking around and ive found a Xeon E5 2630 V4 for about £180/$260 (http://ark.intel.com/m/products/92981/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2630-v4-25M-Cache-2_20-GHz) now id be using the pc for gaming, VMs, Light server use and ither things. 1. Is this a good deal, 2. What sort of performance would i get from gaming ?? (In comparison to say a 5930K) Thanks
  12. Do you have any mods installed on any of these games ???
  13. Hi all, my current PC has been running perfectly since its been built but recently whenever i boot the PC with the hard drive plugged in (there are 2 drives in my system, the 2TB WD Black that im having issues with and a 240GB SSD where i have windows installed on) the PC takes about 5 minutes to take me to the lock screen about another 5 minutes to get to the desktop, at which point there are no icons/shortcuts on my desktop and i cannot load anything, even file explorer doesnt show anything at this point and just tries to load the quick access tab forever without actually finishing... however if i unplug the hard drive and just keep the SSD plugged in then it run perfectly, loading everything it should and booting into windows in seconds, obviously i cannot then access the terabyte of files on my harddrive. I have no idea what has started this and have no idea how to fix it... PLEASE HELP, thank you
  14. Thanks guys, I'll give it a go
  15. So recently my PC decided that when booting it's incredibly slow and comes up says that my mechanical drive is being repaired although the Windows 10 install is on my SSD, after a few minutes it then shows my desktop but with none of my icons from shortcuts show and if I open file explorer nothing's shows (not just from the hard drive but nothing at all). If I go into the BIOS both drives are showing and it's all been running perfectly for a long time and this has just happened from nowhere... Anyone have any ideas ??
