@Ashley xD The problem with Apple Silicon for me is losing Bootcamp. The main reason I care about Bootcamp is World of Warships and Visual Studio for Windows.

Visual Studio for Mac does not have the C++ libraries. As for world of warships, there is a Mac Client but it’s a wrapper and not officially supported.
On Apple silicon you would be emulating an wrapper which doesn’t seem like a fun time.

@RorzNZ While a 16" MBP would be nice because of the dGPUs....the form factor is just too big. My laptop is a supplemental computer to my desktop. I use it for school, specifically writing and coding. Being able to fit on a small armchair desk or in my lap is more important than having a lot of performance available.
As I said though, I just don't think I can justify spending over $1k to replace my MBP when it currently still works and have been enough for me in terms of performance. It can play World of Warships on low settings very well, maxing out the frame cap at 75fps. The frame times are very consistent to boot.
Once I get a key that gets stuck and I can't fix it or the display succumbs to flexgate, then I'll look at upgrading.
