Bernie has 20 more delegates than the 2nd place candidate. If Bernie wins South Carolina....its OVER.

Didn't Buttgieg drop out the other day? I think it's really going to be Sanders vs Trump and boy are things going to be colorful come election time

Nah, Pete is still in the race. Yang dropped out recently though.

Shocked that Sanders is getting so much support early on. I personally think the DNC would be un-wise in nominating sanders as their candidate if their goal is to rally the party and beat trump. He's too much of an extremist within his party to bring it together, if how he was treated in 2016 is anything to go by.

Was a yang supporter until he dropped out (which, it didnt surprise me that he did). Will have to see what moderate-republicans rise up to challenge trump's seat before i pledge my vote.

Kinda strange how one could postulate that the candidate that wins the nomination isn’t unifying the party.

If the majority of the party picks a candidate, then that candidate should theoretically be the best candidate to compete nationally in a general election

In 2016 the democratic party had every reason to nominate Sanders, and didn't. Every credible poll taken showed him as the one with the best chance of beating Trump, not Hillary.

Just going off history, doesn't mean things haven't changed, but you need to conciser the history as well.

I did say theoretically did I not? The DNC obviously isn’t interested in fully democratic elections.

I wonder if a moderate VP would make him more palatable to the boomer voters.

Everyone I know over 50 thinks he is too far left... and that's saying it as nicely as I care too....

Fair enough. I did miss theoretically my first read through.

I've heard rumors of Clinton as his VP, which i hope is nothing more than a rumor.
