You know, I was thinking. What GPUs do Nvidia offer that only consume 35W?
I was looking at premium laptops and noticed that the Razer Blade stealth costs just as much as a baseline 15” MBP, but the Radeon Pro 555X can beat the MX 150 in games and benchmarks.
-
A Pro 560X can beat a desktop 560 if properly cooled, I think.
-
well... a desktop at the price would sweep the floor, but we both know that
-
Oh, no question.
-
I just really want a 15" MBP so I can have a mobile dGPU T.T
It's $2,519 for:
- 2.6GHz 6‑core 9th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
- 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 memory
- Radeon Pro 560X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory
- 512GB SSD storage
Can save $90 by getting the Radeon Pro 555X, but that's significantly cut down from the Pro 560X (and there are major clock speed differences)
555X: 768 Shading Units, 48 TMUs, 16 ROPs, 12 Compute Units
560X: 1024 Shading Units, 64 TMUs, 16 ROPs, 16 Compute Units

yeah... i wouldn't call that 2500 dollars worth of parts tbh
-
Yeah, it’s not. But I really don’t like Windows laptops.
-
yeah... but 1030 isn't worth it
