I'm debating if upgrading to the new Quad Core base model 13" MBP would even be worth it. The GPU is only a modest 13% increase in performance. While the CPU is closer to like a 75%-83% increase in performance....it's not like I don't have an R5 2600, 16GB of 2666, and an RX 580 at home. 

 

I honestly don't do a lot of editing or CPU based rendering on the go either. I think I'm just caught up in the desire to have a quad core CPU and getting a Touchbar.

    Mostly just school and light coding. My College has computer labs so it's not like I have to code on my laptop. Coding doesnt even really need more power than what I've got rn. 

     

    I just really want it. But I don't need it

    Exactly. Most of it is easy af to run.
