So RED is literally just a bunch of frauds.

    Every company does this. I do not like that they can just lock every little thing. It makes the consumer have to shop with them instead of allowing free markets to regulate themselves for the consumer's benefit.

    It's almost like selling a 480GB SSDs as 512GB SSDs, claiming that there is custom firmware on them, and lying about where they are made is illegal.

    You can lock your software and hardware, but you should not be allowed to stop your consumer from getting third-party parts or workmanship. That includes Apple. It's anti-consumer and goes against free-market.

    I would agree. Imo, Apple should not removed the SSD in the new base model and should also not prevent the user from replacing said drive. If I own the machine, I should be able to tell it to completely disable the T2 chips security features.

    Use of proprietary connectors must be made accessible to third parties. Apple can defend their OS from tampering, but they can't decline to install on a third-party drive. They should not refuse to service a machine over a 3P drive.
