God, Googles account password management is the definition of useless and bad.

Their support documentation says you can edit a saved password simply be navigating to the proper menu and clicking edit......there is no edit option. Passwords and usernames can only be updated from the website.

Also what gets me is that to view a password you must enter your Google account password for every site....

    Use Opera.

Kaspersky Password Manager is also free with encrypted local and cloud files.

normally I use iCloud Keychain. My PC has pretty outdated passwords, hence my troubles.

Kaspersky lets you know if you've used a password too many times.

"Hey, dipshit, you've used this PW six times. Choose something else."

    [enters same password]

    "Yeah? Fuck you!"

    Thank you, Kaspersky.

I updated some passwords via the passwords & Edit page on chrome recently because the website didn't give me the "Save new password?" option. Worked just fine for me.

Also I don't have to put my password in at all to view multiple website credentials. (Does sound kind of like a security threat though)

No idea why none of this is working for you.

@floofer I was like you until sometime either last year or the year before an unknown entity from somewhere in Texas attempted to get into my Gmail which was linked to a lot of things.

After that scare I wrote a random password generator in C# and assigned 1 to every website I use (and 2FA where available). So I don't even know what my passwords are. The ultimate in security.
