    Galaxy Fold Launch Event canceled

Unlikely if the technology can’t last 2 days in the hands of real users.

Physics is also against making a folding display.

    Galaxy Fold Launch Event canceled

Imagine paying $2000+ for the Galaxy Fold when you can get a better experience for half the price. Seriously, pick your favorite smartphone (in my case the iPhone 8 Plus) and just buy an iPad. iPhone 8 Plus: $699 iPad: $329 Total: $1,028 Boom, saved $1K and you have a way better user experience. The technology behind folding displays is cool and should be developed more. But the concept of a folding phone is flawed.

Thin and light laptop for travel

For basic web browsing, why not a tablet? Maybe the $329 iPad?
  5. I’m kinda into this game

You get track rack tiles (which you need to unlock new worlds) randomly whenever you fill up your coin bar. You get coins from playing, collecting from your “ports”, and completing special events.

Looks weirdly like Kingdoms and Castles, but with trains.

Microsoft releases a new programming language: Bosque

Bosque is a good name. Shame it’s for a programming language. A Bosque refrigerator sounds pretty nice.

Vega finally beats RTX? Vulkan strikes again!

Wish macOS would add Vulkan now that they have all but gotten rid of OpenGL.
  8. Ugh, don't delay backing up your Mac for 10 days. It takes forever to finish the prep when it has to make all kinds of changes T.T

    1. firelighter487

yeah it takes forever. never mind the first backup when you have 300+gb of stuff on your Mac. i know from experience.

    2. DrMacintosh

It goes by faster if you have an SSD, but USB 3.0 HDDs are terribad at random read/writes xD Also Time Machine just does not like to peg the drive with write speed.

Had a 500GB 5400rpm drive that I cloned out of a Mac once through usb 3.  Just had to walk away and let it go overnight.

What shift button do you use when typing?

I've never used the right shift key for actual typing in my life. Its easier for me to press L Shift+Z than it is R shift + Z because it's muscle memory. My L thumb does only one thing when I type: press command my R thumb does only one thing when I type: press space my R pinky pressed return my L pinky presses L shift/fn/control/option/caps lock/tab/esc my R ring finger presses Delete and also types normally The rest of my fingers type normally. Though I do prefer to use my index fingers for keys like < > /
  10. We need to know what your max budget is and what you're going to be doing with the Mac.
  11. The only thing I don't like about LTT content is their phone reviews. They all come off as whiny and focus more on the bad than the good.
  12. 16 tabs open in Safari, Mail.app, Notes.app, an Essay open in Pages, Books.app, Discord.app, Telegram.app, and 2 documents open in Preview. All running on 5 virtual desktops on a Mac with only 8GB of RAM (with no page file swapping).

Tell me, what makes Chrome (and Windows) so inefficient?

It's not about your hardware, its about how you use it

It's pretty handy. Especially for this kind of situation. Spreading out your resources reduces clutter and makes it easier to focus.

    3. RoseLuck462

Apple really knows how to optimize their software to the hardware.

    4. firelighter487

the thing about macOS is that it will use more ram if you have it. if i do that on my macbook with 16gb of ram it will use nearly all of it.

[Rumour?] Huawei P30 Pro "fakes" moon photos automatically?

Huawei is co-owned by the Chinese Government. That’s how most, if not all, communist “corporations” operate.

Is Oregon a blue state with legalized marijuana?

    3. DrMacintosh

      Yes. Oregon has legal Weed.

@captain_to_fire Oregon is mostly a blue state.  And yes, you can grow and consume cannabis legally here, and now sell it as well.
