BENCHMARKS

Ok, so my friends PC is up and running so while I wait for him to come and pick it up, I decided to run a few benchmarks

Here is his PC:

i7-920 and Sapphire Nitro R9 380

And here is my rig

i5-4690K and Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580

CineBench

His PC: 441

My PC: 560

All in all, he's got a pretty competent system for his first PC. Granted I built it for him and the CPU and Mobo & RAM were donated by @Tabs

His Specs:

GA-X58-UD3R Mobo

i7-920

Sapphire R9 380 4GB

8GB of DDR3 clocked at 1666Mhz I think

120GB PNY SSD

1TB Barracuda HDD

some shitty optical drive from an OEM HP system.

I'm just glad the parts got a chance to be used again, it's been bothering me having them in storage for so long.

I'm surprised how close those results are though; have you overclocked the i7-920 yet?

No, no overclocking. The Air Cooler that you gave my friend cools his PC just as well as my AiO cools mine. His house does not have AC and while I'm sure it would be fine, I don't want mess with overclocking xD I tend to leave clock speeds stock for my tech products anyway.

I already hooked him up with the 2016 Adobe Suite and am currently giving him my collection of ripped DVDs and Music since we have some similar tastes.
