    I think a lot of the resources used by websites is ad-related. :(  I'd really like to see it significantly reduced, at least to, say, 8 SI prefixes lower than the actual content.

     

    For example, if the main content is 32 yottabytes, the maximum ads, trackers, etc would be 32 bytes.  Also no making main content be more resource-heavy to allow for more ad-related content. :P

     

    I've had individual Google search tabs using upwards of 1.5-2+ GB!  I would think it shouldn't need more than a few kb for a main search, maybe a few hundred kb or a couple mb for images, and maybe several or a few dozen mb for video search results.

    I doubt it could be ad data, I run ad blockers on all my devices.

    It's 1AM and I'm quite exhausted so when I read that reddit was using 1.5GB of RAM I thought you meant server side. I was thinking jesus christ how did they pull that off? Most memory efficient server in the world...I need sleep...
