When you can build a whole, decent gaming PC setup with that price...

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice GPU, but that price tag definitely places it way out of reach of us mere mortals
-
-
Well it is only 20% faster than a 1080ti, so i would better buy some corsair rgb fans than a new gpu. It isn't really an upgrade over 1080ti.
-
It’s really not worth it objectively.
The only reason I can see someone properly justifying their purchase is if they have a high resolution monitor with a high refresh rate
-
And without a budget

Them and HardwareCanuks are totally drinking the sponsor koolaid.

Still cheaper than the suspension on my mountain bike *shrugs*
Top end stuff isn't meant to be affordable for everyone.

Well, I found it in my Google feed for some reason. Kinda feel that title makes the assumption that those reading it likely was already thinking about buying one
-
Seems like a reasonable assumption to me.

@dizmostill costs more than getting rear brakes, state inspection, right ball joint, axle seal, alignment, and oil change done on my Jeep, to include labor. And this is dealership mechanic prices. I can only imagine what you have for a mountain bike.

@Ryujin2003 It's a pricey beast...but it also has a lot of high end parts. It's worth about $7,000.
That's one thing I don't get about PC enthusiasts at the high end. They really don't seem to realize how affordable their hobby is, and that it'll likely only increase as popularity grows. I pay about $500 - $600 in maintenance on my bike a year. That doesn't include replacing tires, which generally runs me about $250 a pair, and might need to be done twice a season.
And yet another thing they fail to realize; there are parts other than the high end. You can get a 1060 (probably true for the 2060 as well) and a 1080p monitor and still have a blast; just like I could buy a $1,500 mountain bike, that requires less maintenance, and cheaper tires and still get a similar experience.
Then again, that's likely just this forum, since it's a younger crowd that thinks virtually everything expensive is overpriced.

I don’t know what else to say, but here’s what I think.
RTX is mostly aimed at developers, computer scientists (because Tensor cores) and early adopters. Us mere mortals have Pascal still

Totally agree. I don't see why anyone would have thought otherwise, tbh. Moving forward has to start somewhere. This is that start.
