Quite honestly though, I don’t think core count should be what people are discussing with Ryzen 3000 as much.
Core count had never really been an issue with Ryzen. But clockspeed has, especially for gaming.

We need 5GHz all-core boost. On 8 cores.

Not more cores. Though that’d be nice, that has never been a problem.

What were people expecting core wise? 8c/16th is pretty good already but, the clock speeds should really improve.
Mine has trouble hitting 4.2 with manual OC and, on auto, it takes way too much power.
