SansVarnic reacted to Godlygamer23 in Student arrested after sending private joke over snapchat before boarding a plane, message was viewed by security as he was connected to public Wi-Fi
It reminds me of a camp many years ago where there was a murderer in the area who had broken into the main cabin, and left a note within a pizza box saying if they didn't leave, they would murder the little girls in the cabin nearby(part of the same camp). The staff didn't take the note seriously, and the little girls ended up being murdered.

Point is...even if there's a CHANCE that it's a joke, you're better off assuming it's not because the cost is so fuckin' high. Worst case, you wasted your time on a joke. Best case, you just saved some fuckin lives!

@Saeumii as mentioned the issue has been resolved. As for your inquiry to the specifics, those details will likely not be released beyond what was publicly announced as provided here by other members posted up to this point. Neither LTT or Billet has an obligation to make those details available to the public. I you wish to pursue these details I suggest you reach out to LMG or Billet directly and see if they are willing, but I highly doubt they will.

SansVarnic reacted to Hinjima in Need help, pc is making Wired ticking noises.
Its NOT caused by the GPU fans. Its caused by the vibrations in the inductors and other components when power is going through it.  Some games hit the GPU harder than others so some games might cause more noise than others
    Its completely normal.
You say it goes away when you put the fans to 100% full speed but I doubt that, the fan noise is just covering up the coil whine.

That's the minimal allocation. Once the OS is booted it won't matter and thanks to memory sharing it will take what it needs / can.
Reserving more could give a tiny advantage in graphics stuff, but with the penalty that this RAM isn't available to the rest of the system anymore, and since 8GB is already really tight nowadays it could cause more issues than it solves.

@egriff79 As a warranty expert I can tell you that you are sol. The moment you decided to use the item knowing it was incorrect you accepted it as is. That's a fine line but you then publicly admitted it and then went on to damage the item (regardless of the how). Best buy won't cover this for you. This based on your original post... the rest well, you kinda hurt your reputation some. Truth up front is always the best.

You're stuck buying a new one. Sorry but such is life. 🤷

SansVarnic reacted to jaslion in Cannot stop a slow leak
The question is then. Do you have an actual microleak OR do you just have micro bubbles that eventually collect there? Like a pump can blend a small bubble in a bunch of incredibly small ones.

I'd say if you can put a timelapse camera capture on it to see when they appear. If it's suddenly one bubble then yeah leak. Else I'd say some trapped air in the block.

Also over tightening fittings can ALSO cause leaking.
