PSU is has decided it wants to start dying.... Well its half my fault but anyways.

 

Start the process of getting a new one... sold out, sold out.. oh New Egg has what I needs for $128.90 usd

Punch line: $73.00 shipping... what the crap? never have I paid this much in shipping, a PSU weighs what 1-1.5 lbs? if maybe that. Guess a keep looking.

 

NewEgg strikes again. I remember when New Egg used to be a fair place to buy PC Parts. When I built my current rig 6yrs ago I bought half my parts from Newegg and my shipping wasn't half that. 🤦‍♂️

 

*edit even the USPS (post office) has flat rate package shipping for 19.99 for 5lbs or less and this is being shipped from inside the U.S. to Iowa.... for Pete's sake what are they using private courier?!?

    sounds like from a 3rd party seller, not Newegg themselves with that kind of shipping, my lord.

    Went back and looked, yup, 3rd party provider. geez but still.

    Yeah, I learned the hard way to filter for "Fulfilled by NewEgg" products.  Bought a product that still had free shipping, but when they came back with shipping estimates it was like 2-3 weeks.
