  1. More than likely the head unit used to power the speakers has a malfunction or is just of poor quality. It could also be an internal crossover that is failing because too much power was supplied to them by someone trying to make their ears bleed
  2. I doubt that is solder leaking from the heat spreader. Most likely just an excess of sealant used to attach the heat spreader to the package itself.
  3. I'm going for an interview tomorrow at noon for Best Buy. Any tips for getting on the managers good side?
  4. I would venture a guess and say that your motherboard has a component(s) that is/are faulty and are causing an issue. I would RMA the motherboard and wipe the drives for a new Windows installation upon receiving the new board.
  5. That looks alright to me. I would only worry if you walk away and come back five minutes later and suddenly your machine is telling you that no more RAM is available and you may experience slowdowns. Cough....Nvidia Beta Driver a year back...cough...
  6. I would run Red to Red, Green to Green, Blue to Black, and the white wire inside the copper sheathing to the white/silver wire on the right.
  7. What motherboard are you using in this build? I'm curious to see what kind of chip-sets I will find it uses after doing a little research for you to try and help out.
  8. Sounds a lot like a dead GPU. I remember seeing something like that when a friend asked me to check out his XPS laptop. Flashing lines, weird images and flickering. Then it stopped working altogether.
  9. Every now and again my older EVGA 680i motherboard will hang and require a hard reboot to get it working again. No apparent reason for the hang...it just happens sometimes. I adore the board, though. I've had it for so long that I refuse to give up on it.
  10. Testing would be a great place to start.
  11. Mantle has been known to cause issues such as this. Especially on software that was designed to implement it during its beta developement...we can only expect them to work so well. I've had issues with Battlefield 4 framerate dropping suddenly such as that and if I remember correctly it had something to do with using settigns that were too GPU memory intensive for the card to keep up with. I think I was running out of VRam and the stuttering would happen suddenly. D: "dip as deep" Awwwwww yeahhhh

Working on something Economics related for the…

    I like the idea. :D
  13. I ate two hot dogs with mustard on them for breakfast this morning. My thoughts were "Hmm....these taste quite good".
  14. I currently own a Nikon D60 with a few lenses.
  15. IDE mode should not be selected over AHCI or SATA operation mode. This will in short disable the use of the SATA drive for booting or use purposes and will render it useless. That being said, see if you can find an option in the BIOS that will allow you to edit the configuration of the IDE hard disk.
  16. If you do it often you'll just wear out the SATA connectors on the drive. lmao
  17. You could invest in something like an external hard drive. I got a one terabyte drive form Best Buy with USB 3.0 for something like ninety bucks. Buy one and use that to connect to your downstairs PC to download. Small, easy, and reliable. You could also invest in something like powerline for a faster connection than what you currently have with your wireless situation.
  18. Something is telling me that the main drive you are currently using could be a major part of your problem. Loading textures for worlds such as GTAV in free roam can put a large amount of requests on an aging drive which will cause microstutters. I've had this happen when using a slow 1TB drive to play games and it drove me mad. I ended up raid zeroing three drive I had laying around to see if that would fix it and by some miracle it did.
  19. Will it work? Most likely, yes. An excelent example of this is I have an 8-pin CPU power socket on my old school Nvidia based motherboard. I modified my power supply for use with Litecoin mining rigs and therefore I only have on 4-Pin CPU power connector. My board works flawlessly with only using four of the eight power connecions for the CPU. The same should apply to the motherboard ATX power connector as well. It will most likely work, but if you plan on doing anything overclocking wise I would recomend investing in a proper power suply as the board will need the extra power supplied from those extra sockets that will not be filed with the Antec supply you are asking about.
  20. I would first try opening up computer management by right clicking the "Computer" option once clicking the start button. Then switch to the "Disk Management" tab near the bottom left corner and try to find the missing hard disk listed in there. That's a good place to start.
  21. First I would identify what chipset your motherboard uses for networking. Then I would go to that manufacturers website and obtain the newest available drivers for that particular chipset and download them. Remove the driver using Device Manager by right clicking on the networking device under its respective catagory of devices, and selecting the delete driver option. There should be a tick box under the text pop up that says something along the lines of "Delete Driver" tick that box and select continue. After removing the driver entirely I would then install the drivers I obtained earlier. Reboot the system, and check to be sure that the networking device is working properly and you can establish a connection to the internet.
  22. I can vouch for the people saying you will lose contact with most of your high school friends. Once you're in college there is an extremely vast world of people that you will almost always be able to find people you "click" with and can find similarities between yourselves. I just recently graduated and will be attending Auburn for Electrical Engineering. That being said, I have already made a new group of friends based around our collective interests with little effort. There's a big world out there my friend. You'll always find people to send time with. Best of luck!
