I’m not certain but I think labeling certain sites as potentially false information could lead to lawsuits. Sounds like defamation to me and is likely worse than just resorting search results a bit.

It seems that most of the tech connected world is ok suppressing right leaning opinions and sources. Most of Hollywood, most major news networks, Facebook, google, Twitter, etc. it’s just something you need to know.

    It’s becoming a real problem.

I, personally, don’t think I want the government stepping in and trying to “fix” the problem. It seems most things government touches gets ruined.

I lean pretty heavily to the right and would rather see liberal owned companies suppressing conservative ideas on their platform rather than have the government try to fix it. As bad as it is, I do think they have a right to suppress and filter what is said on their own platform. The ethics of that is a totally different question.

Indeed, people can't look beyond their own biased view and it only causes more division. This topic was fine until people had to insert their own political opinion and complain about the source.

True. Still, with the rumor stating that big of a change I'm going to remain doubtful until AMD says otherwise. There are far too many fake rumors shat out by people looking for their five minutes of fame these days.

    But why Microsoft?

Source: Ars Technica UK, Microsoft (Windows Blog)
But why? I thought Windows XP is already unsupported? Wouldn't that hurt Microsoft more?
You think that Microsoft is doing this for the benefit of their customers, I beg to differ. I see this as indecisiveness. Apple is true to their word when they declare a device to be unsupported. Here's a commentary from Peter Bright from Ars Technica as well:

Not to mention, they're not doing their latest OS Windows 10 any favors. Windows XP is a 32-bit operating system released in 2001 and it makes no sense at the moment to keep patching it. Just look at Apple, when they decide to stop supporting an OS or an old device, they do. Do you see Apple still releasing patches for an old iPhone 3GS or a 2008 polycarbonate MacBook running Mac OS X Snow Leopard at the latest? No.

Yawn.  All show. The major tech companies have their products actually produced in countries that won't really be affected (or not just outright lie) about their effects. The Finance Class & Companies (of which Tech, due to its R&D At Home; Manufacture Away setup, is a major player) are pissed off because they wouldn't be able to rob the States of 100s of Billions.

When the Tech Companies start talking about putting 10s of Billions into next generation Nuclear development (or even Thorium Reactors), then they're be worth listening to.

One could look at this as a brilliant move that saves the US $2 billion by pulling out of the accords and then having the large US cities be so 'outraged' that they decide to meet the emissions standards themselves...

US government saves $2 billion, greenhouse emissions are still cut, win-win.  All this does is shift the responsibility for making these decisions from a Federal level to a state/local level.
