I've put together a new computer and put in a 1TB HDD from an old computer. The new build I have has a SSD that I want to put the OS on, and I want to clear as much as possible off the HDD which has my windows profile installed on it.
Here's the parts list.

Please tell me if I'm going overkill on something or if I'm not putting enough of the budget into a certain area. I'd like not to go over $900.
Are there any significant differences between a microATX and regular ATX board other than the size and number of PCI-E ports?
I'm building a computer for casual gaming and personal work(nothing too intense). I'm trying to build around i5-4690 and a R9 285.
I'm open to all suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Oh whoops. Lol. I'm ignorant.
I did read the whole post. Thanks for taking the time to post all of that. I think I have much better idea about what parts to use.
I've only put together a small number of computers for myself but I've only ever followed guides online. I want to learn more about parts and how to choose them for specific uses.
