Now I'm at the point where the Samsung secure erase is not detecting my ssd. I'm close to just taking a 100gb hit and forgetting about wiping it.
-
Just installed the ssd into my new build. Everything hooked up correctly but it's not reading the ssd, any ideas? I planned to wipe the drive once installed in my new build.
-
What is the best way to wipe my Samsung 860 EVO without dmg? It is currently my boot device on an old build for windows and now my only device on my system. I'm taking this SSD for my (new)build as extra gaming storage and starting from scratch on the current (old) build for my wife. I don't need any files on my 860 EVO.

I'm searching for a 27"-32" 1440p 144hz monitor. I will mostly be gaming on it and will be using a dual monitor stand (so it must have the ability to be mounted). I've narrowed down to 3 ( msi Optix MAG27CQ 27", LG 32GK650F-B 32" and VIOTEK GN27DW 27-Inch )choices but if anyone has others the recommend I would appreciate it.

They finally decided to split, thank you all.
-
Yes, they are split but won't seperate.

My motherboard is the Gigabyte Aorus pro. My 4x2 plug does not superate so in order to use it, it will just plug into the 4pins while the other 4 will not be plugged in, you can see in photo 1.
-
I'm trying to add power for my CPU which is 4x2 and a separate 2x2. My PSU (corsair RMX 850w, fully modular) does not include a 2x2 plug, am I able to use the 4x4 CPU and just use half of the plug? The other option is to use two 1x2 PCIe plugs.

I'm going with the i9-9700k, probably Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro but still undecided on the GPU.

Upgrading build for Adobe Premiere editing

I already stated I will be getting a ssd to boot to and Adobe. The company sends the external hard drive with the footage to my wife to edit so the build will not be holding the footage. -
Upgrading build for Adobe Premiere editing

I'm thinking of upgrading just the CPU and motherboard to start, possibly a i7-8700K.
