it shouldnt have, but it could have. I would first be reseting your bios (how to do this depends on your board, but you can always just take out the cmos battery, unplug the power and hold the power button for 30 sec).
if that doesnt work, try the onboard gpu if you have one.
check all your cables are plugged in correctly

sorry but those images dont work. please just list the model number
-
might be a dumb question but have you checked the drive and formatted windows? otherwise I would be pointing at that ram

H200i is mini itx.
Honestly any A320 board + a Ryzen 3 1200, 8gb of ddr4 and the 1050ti. Put it in a cheap case like the Rosewill 25$ Matx cases all over Newegg.
^^ agreed with this. cheap and cheerful until they can work to buy their own, so you teach them the value of saving

pick up a second hand 4790k, overclock the shit out of it, and buy a 5700xt with the remaining money and maybe a new cooler if you wanna treat yourself

Aloha,
Been playing with the idea of building a PC for about $500 for a while. Inspired by those upgrading a used PC, bang for buck videos i decided to look in the used market.
Found this add on craigslist:
dell xps i7 8700 - $600
Got from Costco 4 months ago new for $900. This is a extra computer I don't need and I just missed the return period.. I removed all the dell bloatware on it. Works great for video editing, streaming or gaming
Hardware included:
I7 8700 cpu
Gtx 1050 graphics card
16 gigs ramNot a ton of info on the add but i searched around and think this is the computer he is referring to
My questions
Is this a sweet deal worth jumping on that has some future upgrade-ability or would i be better off building from scratch?
If not a great deal what price would make it a great deal? (if i made an offer)
Thanks a ton for your opinions and patience
thats a pretty sheit deal tbh

I have an 780 optiplex sff. I'm trying to figure out if it will take dual rank ddr3. It currently has single rank. I checked the compatibility list but doesnt say. Any advice? And yes I know it's old I upgraded the CPU to a quad core Q9650. It's more of a work station and only has 3 gb of ram. 1 gb stick and 2 gb stick.
in theory it wont work, but in practice it may, I would go 4x 2gb

There's really no major upgrades above that cooler, at least for only an 8 core CPU.
The H500 mesh is rather nice anyways...
yeah but personal prefferences ect for looks

It's only like $1300ish for a pretty good PC, spending more doesn't get you too much more performance.
Could also just get a single 1440p 100-120hz ultrawide for $400

I have been messing around with server builds for the last couple years now, nothing crazy always made from older used tech. They have always served their purpose but lead me to wonder if I can go even cheaper or if I should scale up for more use/better performance. I'm looking to run servers for the following games simutaneously, 7 Day To Die x 1, Ark Survival Evolved x 6, Minecraft x 2, and possibly more in the future. My main server setup is an Intel board with dual Xeon 5450? I think and 16gb of ddr2 ecc ram. It has run the 7dtd and Minecraft server at same time with no issue but don't think it could handle another 6 ark servers as well. The other issue is I would like to find a security solution as that server was hacked and hard disk encrypted to try to scam me of money. Luckily it was only used for those game servers so I disposed of that hard drive. However I would like to also prevent this from happening again.
so all in all my questions are what is the cheapest option to be able to run all those servers simultaneously and once it's running now can I protect it from being hacked. Thanks in advance
when you say run those games, do you mean run servers for? see if you can pick up and old rack mount with 2x5650s and 64gb ram, should be about $100 usd

Hi,
I plan on upgrading my 500gb 850 evo to a 1tb ssd. To my extreme dismay, the prices I paid for my unit is now equivalent to a 1tb sku, and I paid around 170-180 usd.
Now I am choosing between a 2.5" sata 860 evo for 173 usd vs the m.2 nvme sx8200 for 157 usd.
I know samsung's 2.5" evo speeds can match even some nvme drives. But I do know that the sx8200 is not one of the bad ones.
So Which one do I go for, and why?
Hoping to gain some insight,
Thanks!
go the nvme

do yourself a favour and at that price point stick with a ryzen 7 3700x. much better value.as for board, take your pick of x570 boards, they are all great. just pick the one that suits your needs best. get the cheapest ram that will do 3600mhz, cheapest decent pcie ssd, and a evga 650w g3

Im torn between the x470 Gigabyte gaming 7 wifi and the asus crosshair hero wifi.
Both can take a monoblock and have great vrms but, I have always gone with Asus for my components (I have found their drivers and bios better and easyer to use) , but the gigabyte board will help me save some money for the watercooling parts.
What do you guys/girls/others think I should look towards.
keep the gaming 7, its plenty for a 2700x

I was wondering what the best laptop is for schools? With light gaming capabilities stuff like minecraft or csgo I have a budget of $1200 and would prefer it to be thin and light so I could carry it easily.
blade stealth is always a good bet, otherwise an xps 13 with a dgpu

You can have sata only SSD, so it would have to support PCI-e over M.2.
im well awear. im telling you that if it has an m.2 slot, that specific model does support nvme

I was told that is a bad unit, outdated design, shouldn't use it with modern component or for a gaming rig, etc so idk.
and sorry for not explaining things clearly.
they are an older design and do have some downfalls but overall are ok quality and I havent seen too many people having issues with them. for a low powered apu build its fine

So I'm starting to do PC and PC parts flipping. I'm planning to do another flip with a pre-built PC upgraded with a graphics card. Just a hypothetical situation. If I can get a PC with no storage so I could get my own, which storage should I choose? A used 128GB SSD for $15 or a used 500GB-750GB HDD for only $5. I'm thinking SSD for the storage but I also need to take into account that most old systems with 2nd gen Intel CPUs (which are the easiest to get) only support up to 300mb/s speeds and the storage is low if I'm trying to list the PC as a gaming PC. Which one would be the best option?
agreed with both. having an ssd will help it sell

Is from my main PC and idk what to do with it so i was thinking reusing it for an APU build.
im missing the point of this post?!? it will work fine if thats what you are asking

in Graphics Cards

yes mate. you can get mini pcie (aka wifi card or m.2 nvme) to 16x adapters.
