Used to play the hell out of it way back in alpha like 15 years ago when the game would keep changing so much every update. Was blown away when I found out I could make a working adder with redstone.

God I loved NieR Automata. Right there with Persona 5 for my favorite soundtrack ever in a game and the story was wild.

Have you played the PC port? If so wonder what you think about it.

To list a few of my favourites:

    - Minecraft Java Edition. The only edition in my mind.
    - Stardew Valley. Probably have about 400 hours in Stardew Valley now.
    - Horizon Zero Dawn & Horizon Forbidden West. Still making my way through Forbidden West, but I've been loving it.
    - Animal Crossing New Leaf. Probably by far the best Animal Crossing game ever.
    - Animal Crossing New Horizons. I have switched over to New Horizons because keeping my 3DS charged isn't working too well anymore, and I love New Horizons but definitely not as much as I love and cherish New Leaf.
    - Dark Souls Remastered. (And any Dark Souls game, including Elden Ring). I'm just a masochist.
    - The Sims 3 & 4. Who doesn't like to torture their Sims? I have played both, I have more hours in the Sims 4, but the Sims 3 is probably my favourite.
    - Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword. This game was my introduction to the LoZ series, so it is my favourite game of all time.

I can't think of anymore at the moment, but these are what my favourite are.

This is daft but i say this all the time.  get in your most demanding game and turn all your graphical settings down.  Resolution, textures, shadows.  Turn all your CPU settings up.  Crowd density, geometry detail, vegetation detail.  Then run the game for about half an hour.  That will tell you how many draw calls your CPU can handle.  If you think you're getting enough FPS at these settings? Get a GPU.  If it's a little on the low side? Get a CPU.  Like @Hinjima says, there will always be one limiting factor.  Turning your settings down to test the CPU limit is one way of finding out which one you want to be limited by

The controller is irrelevant; the games are why PS5 is demolishing XBox in sales. None of the hyped XBox exclusives, eg Halo Infinite, Starfield, and Redfall, have been very good while Playstation has had bangers in God of War Ragnarok, Demon's Souls Remake, Spiderman Miles Morales, Spiderman 2, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West, etc.

I would go something like this.  The 7600 non X is only 1-3% slower than the X and comes with a stock cooler that does the job quite well. This can obviouly be upgraded later if you want.
The 4060 Ti is not very good value and the 4070 is on average 31% faster in 1440p gaming
AMD offers quite compelling GPU's in this price range if you are open for AMD cards.
Its a bit over budget but the PSU is also better quality.

Thanks. Used ShellMenuView to get rid of some of the annoying ones like the VLC context menu additions. Really would love to get rid of the option to cast to a device, the whole 'send to' menu, the restore previous version, the share, and the scan with Windows Defender but guess I'm stuck trying to regedit those out.

What's the best way to get rid of this ridiculous bloat in right click context menus in Windows? Still regedit like the old days or is there a better way to do it in 2024?

Thank you all for your input, I don't plan to use the card for any kind of encoding, as for watching movies and such that's all handled by screen sharing from my phone to the mini monitor while I'm sat at my desktop or if I fancy watching on a bigger screen it goes to one of the 2 4k TV's anyway from my partners desktop (as she use's the 4k tv as a monitor anyway). My budget isn't firm as I can go higher if needed I did take a look at the 4060 but 8gb vram feels low compared to 12gb vram on the 6700xt when some games are using this and beyond. So I will more than likely grab a 6700xt. Again thank you all for the replies and voicing your opinions for each card/choice

No, you're buying a key. A key is not a license, as Microsoft has repeatedly clarified when people ask them if the keys they buy on reddit, G2A, Kinguin, etc are legit. Paying someone else for the convenience of easy activation isn't the same thing as buying a retail license with support like you'd get from Microsoft, Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, etc. And retail license is the only way to have a legit copy of Windows on a system you build for yourself. Buying a key from reddit, Kinguin, etc is just trying to rationalize away the fact you're pirating Windows and it's dumb.

While I do agree somewhat with your take, the issue is that almost all keys sold on the grey markets are legit. They come from Microsoft and someone has paid Microsoft for them. Making them legit. What isn't legit is the EULA of some of the keys, and ways they are acquired. Buying OEM key from retailer is all good, except those should be sold only to new systems. My previous license was like that, so was the Vista I had before it. Current is full price retail.

In EU, specifically in Germany, it has been proven in court that licenses scrapped from dead laptops and desktops can be re-sold. So if licenses are acquired that way in that region, Microsoft doesn't have legal grounds to say anything.

The issue here, and why we don't draw hardline, is other similar discussions. Hackintoshes are against Apple's ToS. But discussion is allowed as LTT has done several videos on the subject. Emulating is huge grey area, and discussion on that is allowed on same ruling. So is jailbreaks on carrier locked phones. The rule is about not giving direct instructions on how to get materials that are in a way or another locked. So no links to ROMs, no links to recovery images, no links to OEM key product pages. Here, going the midway will keep most people happy, and those who aren't, are free to express their disappointment to a way or another.

you've got this so backwards i need to slice it up into separated replies...
that's not a scam, that is microsoft setting the price of their product at 100 dollars, it is their product so they can determine the price. wether 100 dollars is fair or not is a matter of opinion and not applicable here.
assuming these are devices you are selling to customers on the premise they contain a valid licensed installation of windows.. you're doing the scam here. you're actively breaking the EULA for a piece of software you're providing to customers, in their understanding they get a full and valid licensed version, but it is essentially a version that only exists because microsoft cant be arsed to fight grey market key sales.

which, by the way, volume licensing exists, and if you've saved hundreds of thousand of dollars, that's thousands of licenses.. you're well into volume licensing terretory. please do share which company this is, so i can avoid you like the plague, because if you're willing to grey market the license you sell to your customers, i dont want to know what else you'll do to line your own pockets.

Just looked it up and yeah that is an absolute dogshit power supply. Here's the label showing how many amps it delivers on each rail. The +12V rail, which powers your cpu and gpu, only shows 34A which means it can deliver 408W on the +12V rail (34 amps times 12 volt = 408 Watt). So don't think of this as a 700W psu because it's not. It's a shit tier 408W power supply. Only the +12V matters for powering your cpu and gpu and this is a 408W power supply posing as a 700W one. Do not buy and if you have bought it and can't return it you'd be better off throwing it in the trash than using it.

First I've ever heard of this, and I personally have 6800XT as well, never goes above 280W with mild OC and mild UV. Some spikes maybe only in BG3 where it got up to 320W out of nowhere.
