  1. I was trying to install windows on a second SSD in my machine, but instead of clearing that one, I accidentally deleted (not formatted) the partition on my current SSD with all my data on it. When I plug it into my other windows machine, I see all the partitions, but I can't access them (see photo) in windows explorer (nothing shows up). Does anyone know of data recovery tools or a method to get the data back?
  2. Below is a picture of my CPU and I noticed a hole in the bottom right corner. Is this normal? I feel like thermal paste would just get into the hole and damage the CPU. Even if the thermal paste doesn't damage the CPU, wouldn't it dry up so the next time I need to install it on a new cooler, it would have old thermal paste in the hole?
  3. One more question, how do I disable the service do I just click the little check box so it turns blank??
  4. Well, msconfig does have a startup tab, but it says to go to task manager for that. If I go to the services tab and disable a service will it stop that service from running on startup?
  5. Every single website I go to says that in order to disable windows startup programs I have to go to task manager and go to the startup tab. The problem is that over half of all my programs/services that startup are not in the tab (in task manager). I can't figure out how to disable most of my programs from starting in the background because task manager doesn't list all of them. Can someone help?
  6. Ok, so what all of you are saying is that if 1 device is using all 100mbps then no other device on the network can use anything, correct?
  7. Can you explain to me how my school gets 1gbps if no ISP near my school offers anything above 100mbps?
  8. That doesn't make sense to me either. I can't find any plan in my state that allows gigabit speeds, so my school can possibly be getting a connection like that.
  9. My school has a connection of 100mbps and when I download a file I get that full speed, even if there are hundreds of people on the network. So, a Verizon spokesperson called me and told me about the network speeds I could get at my home. He said 50mbps is good for 3 devices and 100mbps is good for 7 devices. This makes no sense to me. If my school and my house get 100mbps and even if there are tens or even hundreds of devices I always get that exact same speed when downloading files (the full 100mbps). So, why are they saying that 100mbps is good for 7 devices when other places have way more the 7 devices and everyone still gets that 100mbps speed? What if I have 200 devices would I pay for 100gbps (I don't even think that's a thing)?
  10. I have a razor keyboard, Logitech mouse, shitty headphones, and shitty mousepad.
  11. As I mentioned above, I want one with 3.5mm inputs and those don't have any. I know I can use converters, but I don't want I bunch of cables everywhere and that would cost me a lot.
  12. Do you know of one that is longer than this? My two audio sources are at least 3 feet apart and do you know if this will reduce quality?
  13. I am looking for an audio device that can take two audio inputs from an AUX cord to an output that I plug my headphones into. Sounds simple, but everything I find online are ~$200 mixers with so many audio converters. Is there a device that can do this. I don't want to spend too much on it and I want to it to not ruin or make the audio quality coming from the computers worse. For clarification, I want to take two 3.5mm audio sources (from my two DIFFERENT PCs) and connect them to my headphones, so I can hear both at the same time.
  14. I don't need your opinion on which you think I need. I asked which one he uses. Don't answer if you won't help
