you can only use a matching card type in sli unless you are using the second card for physx (which isnt sli)

You are sadly only able to SLI same model card from Nvidia.
970 with 970. 960 with 960.

Scalable Link Interface (SLI) is a brand name for a multi-GPU technology developed by NVIDIA for linking two or more video cards together to produce a single output. SLI is an algorithm of parallel processing for computer graphics, meant to increase the processing power available for graphics
Can't do that if they are different

bromargaming reacted to 79wjd in cat5 vs cat6
Well, Cat6 will allow you to go longer distances and leaves you room to take advantage of faster internet speeds (WHEN prices become reasonable -- which won't be for at least 5-10 years imo). So is it worth it.....not really.

bromargaming reacted to justjort in cat5 vs cat6
The difference between cat 5 and cat 6 is the extra insulation and its strength. but it is only used in large commercial buildings like offices where you need more that a couple of 100 meters of it. I see no point in using cat6 for this example, since it does not actually affect speed or latency

Cat 6 is generally useful if you want fast LAN speeds, like if you want fast data rates between your PC and a NAS. Having said that, I get 800mbps over cat 5e.

bromargaming reacted to failblox in Motherboard internet connection?
A 25 foot ethernet cable would be the easiest solution, but it wouldn't be that elegant. Since you're gonna be gaming, I wouldn't recommend wifi, but like others have mentioned in this thread, you could use power over ethernet (POE) and you'd get a reliable speedy connection. However, then you have to buy a POE kit to plug into your wall sockets, which costs quite a lot more than a 25 foot ethernet cable.
Ultimately I think it's really up to you to decide whether or not you want to go with the easier, cheaper, but less elegant solution, or the slightly more expensive but elegant solution.

So heres what I have so far,
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/omaralkha/saved/#view=Rrxj4D
Its a 50 bucks more than what i want it to be (500), is their a way to bring it down a little bit atleast without sacrificing much.
Im going to use it to play games like, gta, hardline, gmod, etc. I would love to play them in high settings above 40 fps. Im also going to use the pc to edit videos
So what should i change? tnx
