A new following-style drone has recently been available for pre-order.
The drone currently costs $499, but will shoot up to $999 after the pre-order period ends (yikes). They do ship internationally!
The Lily Camera is waterproof (IP67), and its tracking device (what the person that wants it to follow them wears) comes with a waterproof case.
It has a flight time of 20 minutes with a max speed of 25 mph (40 km/h). All you have to do is toss it in the air and it will begin doing what it was made to do.
It features a poly-carbonate shell with a brushed aluminum frame, a camera that can record 1080p video at 60 FPS or 720p at 120 while also being able to take 12 MP stills, and a microphone.
There will be no assembly required and it will have a companion app, which will display things like the battery levels of the Lily Camera and its tracking device and GPS coordinates if you somehow venture out of range. The tracking device will warn through pulse vibrations when you are either about to be out of range or the drone's battery is low. The creators noted that their device is not practical for spying on your neighbors because it will always be facing you.
