  1. Good Day Humble Reader! I finally managed to grab the rarely available in todays reality CPU & GPU of latest generation and therefore I'm continuing with my PC build. My biggest trouble spot so far was Motherboard, simply because I lack specific knowledge for each and every element, which is included there and because I was mainly working with laptops for past 10 years. With above in mind, here is my "upcoming" setup: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: Asus TUF RTX 3070 OC Monitor: 1440p 144hz Storage: Sabrent Rocket 4 NVME SSD 500GB Samsung 970 EVO NVME SSD 1TB PSU: Corsair RM750x or RM750i or RM850 (prices are very odd in my area) RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x8GB 3600Mhz CL16, Samsung B-Die I'm open for suggestions performance wise, since this pick is 150EUR purely because of aesthetics for minimum/expected performance required. With Setup above, here are requirements, based on which I have chosen upcoming list of MoBos 1x PCIe Gen 4 M.2 Slot 1x+ PCIe Gen 3 M.2 Slot PCIe 4.0 x16 for GPU Built-in WiFi AX support (not Killer enhanced module is a must) Additionally I excluded all MoBo with LAN being under 2.5GB. Must have Flashback option. Priced under 220 EUR. Initially I was planning to buy X570, but being realistic, and not wanting to spend 75% of CPU price for MoBo, I decided to learn more about B550s and came to conclusion, that they should fulfill all my needs, even if I eventually will OC/fine tune my hardware (no crazy stuff here). But here came the tricky part. Looking at majority of Forum & Reddit posts, people were talking about limits for any given lane on the motherboard, that several hardware elements connected to certain lane may downgrade bus of this given lane or disable it all together. At this moment I realized I'm screwed and won't be able to figure this out on my own, and taken nature of my mind, I will go psycho until I will find the absolute best product I can get. In other words my build won't be finished any time soon, maybe ever... In the picture below I have gathered all MoBos I found worthy to purchase. LTT column stands for relative rating according to this glorious post on LTT forums. So, with all information shared, I beg you kind people with great minds, assist me with this purchase and explain, which board I should buy and why? Is there any added benefit for increased price of Board X compared to Board Y and so on. P.S. It's 3AM in my area right now. Apologies for chaotic language. I really hope everything is clear and understandable.
  2. It will, however the price/performance ratio ain't as great for particular use case. Nowadays in particular, quadro benefits come mainly from best support/cooperation with AutoDesk, whilest performance is on par and sometimes even below the regular "gaming" GPUs.
  3. Yes, that's is exactly the reason, I have to order from one specific shop due to B2B values. Side: from CPU post I received information, that preferred MoBo was plain bad and therefore I will up the level to Asus Strix B360-I. CPU will be i7-8700 and GPU to be updated. However, even if I opt into 2070 - Node 202 with it's 450W PSU will provide enough? As well as what's about reliability, since I can find a lot of information regarding Corsair, but barely any about that unit. PLUS: Do you have any knowledge about Elite 130 and C10 cases?
  4. Exactly my words to the requestor, yet he feels better using Intel based CPU's due to his own preferences.
  5. That was actually the main concern, since all sources I found provided by AutoDesk or from people, who use their software - in my requested case scenario single core performance is most important and for this price difference I personally can't define the need of a newer CPU.
  6. Sadly I don't have an option to get that case as my supplies are restricted to the mentioned ones.
  7. All MoBo's will be provided by Asus if that's the concern. Intel CPU is a requirement from a person, who requested a system and sadly my supply options are limited due to some restrictions. I have option to opt into Asus Strix b360-i or Asus ROG Strix z390, but the last one will hit over the budget.
  8. I don't have many options and with that in mind have to hit best value here. Will B360-I by Asus provide much better performance?
  9. Greetings! I have to create a Mini ITX workstation for CAD (Revit mostly) and have most of the build figured out however I'd like to hear your opinion/suggestions. The PC will be on 24/7 while real workload will happen for around 12h for 5 days a week (max load time per week). My choices were GTX 1660 Ti / RTX 2060 / RTX 2070. Price per performance wise RTX card seem to be better with RTX 2060 being most appealing, but I didn't succeed to find sufficient information to verify, how better each of those is against other one. Only fact is that AutoCAD/Revit apps hugely benefit from VRAM but yet to understand the real world difference for 2GB extra from RTX 2070. Thank you all a lot in advance! P.S. I've submitted original post on Reddit, there you can read the whole story. Sister posts: CPU question; Case/PSU question.
  10. Greetings! I have to create a Mini ITX workstation for CAD (Revit mostly) and have most of the build figured out however I'd like to hear your opinion/suggestions. The PC will be on 24/7 while real workload will happen for around 12h for 5 days a week (max load time per week). CASE My options: Coolermaster Elite 130 / Sharkoon Shark Zone C10 / Fractal Design Node 202. All of them have 120mm case fan included and below I summarized differences. Elite 130: additional USB ports in front; 80mm case fan. C10: Looks better for maintenance process; has dust mesh. Fractal: Best looks/slim design; 80mm case fan; forced with Fractal Design Integra SFX 450W PSU; dust mesh. That on case side. Fractal looks great and rises only 2 questions: ventilation & it's built-in PSU. Elite 130 has some bonuses, but comparing it to C10 I feel that it's not as polished, as Sharkoon case (dust mesh in particular). Questionable moment is airflow. PSU My options are: Corsair VS series 350-650W / Corsair TXm series 550-750W / Fractal Design Integra SFX 450W. I used different calculators and in most "equipped" build would run on around 505W with maximal load. However, some of them also show me that I'd be safe with 350W PSU. With that in mind I'd like some assistance from more experienced people on this calculation. CASE+PSU I'm personally looking at C10 + TXm 550W as of being safest option, while Node 202 + forced Integra SFX 450W kills it with design. Price is exactly the same for them. Thank you all a lot in advance! P.S. I've submitted original post on Reddit, there you can read the whole story. Sister posts: GPU question; CPU question.
  11. Greetings! UPDATE: Due to clarification in the thread, I will go with Asus Strix B360-I. CPU QUESTION SOLVED. I have to create a Mini ITX workstation for CAD (Revit mostly) and have most of the build figured out however I'd like to hear your opinion/suggestions. The PC will be on 24/7 while real workload will happen for around 12h for 5 days a week (max load time per week). Is there any reason to upgrade from i7-8700 to i7-8700K(+64EUR) or to i7-9700K(+92 EUR)? There won't be much rendering, therefore single core performance is most important. With that in mind, Turbo Boost is 4.6/4.7/4.9 Ghz respectively. For that price difference I don't see any real reason to pick more expensive CPU. Prove me wrong or correct Thank you all a lot in advance! P.S. I've submitted original post on Reddit, there you can read the whole story. Sister posts: GPU question; Case/PSU question.
  12. What is this brand? Never heard and never saw it in Europe.
  13. Greetings. I'm looking to buy new working station for myself, however struggle to pick the right one. The laptops i'm currently looking at, have i7-7700HQ CPU, 16GB of RAM with ability to upgrade up to 32GB, 1080p display, quite thin format and decent amount of ports and they do include TB3 & SD card reader. What makes me struggle, is few choices I have to make. If i want to go sleek design and best portability - it is Aero 15/15x without a doubt. It is as small, as possible with the tech i need and has great battery(94Wh). Another laptop, which is smaller, MSI GS63 7RG, but it has far worse battery (50Wh), and not super cheaper, to make the choice towards it. On the other side, we have a ROG GL503VS, which is a bit larger, has worse battery life, but has 1070 and 144Hz display. Notes: From "demanding" games I play World of Warcraft, Overwatch & Just Cause 3. So, not super modern FPS, but still. For other uses i'm sure both, 1060 & 1070, will perform as I need them to. Now to the questions: 1.) How superior is 1070 to 1060? 2.) Will I get 120+ frames in above mentioned games on 1070 on ROG laptop? 3.) Will I get 60+ frames in above mentioned games on 1060 on Gigabyte laptop? 4.) Some experienced reviewers or just people, who investigated for quite a bit, whats about the heat output on both of those models? Are they able to handle the 1070 or it will throttle more? Extra questions: 5.) Do you know any other laptops, which are similar to Aero 15? In other words, have similar tech and ports as well as great battery life? (75Wh+). 6) If I will go for 1060, is there anything else on "cheap" segment price wise, like Helios 300, or it's the best value option at all? 7.) Is there anything, like ROG laptop, but with better price or it's best deal for 120Hz+ & 1070 available? 8.) Is it worth waiting for i7-8700h (or whatever its called) and/or for GTX 20xx, which are speculated to be presented on GTC? Would you wait? (I have 860m & 4720hq at the moment). Thank you everyone in advance for making it to this point as well as, hopefully, leaving your comment here. P.S. I reposted this from my reddit thread, as it didn't deliver the answers I needed. Excuse me in advance, if similar topics were discussed here and there as i didn't bother to search right now. Pretty tight on time at the moment and better ask in advance.
  14. Hey there! I would like to get the Kiro. Roocat new direction in mices, that you can craft your own additions with 3d printing is pretty impressive and in 2 weeks i'm going to have a job at a place, where i will need to learn how to use 3d printer as well as work with and do projects for it for half a year. I think this mice might be a good start for me, as well as i'm currently using an awkward, wiped out by 3 years of playing 10 eur mouse, so the replace most certainly increase my chances not to rage in game because of screwed up response from my pointer. May be i will be able to go from diamond to master in League Anyway, cheers and good luck everyone!
