  1. yay, more free stuff, making these comments on youtube was a pain though, for some reason i had to enable all cookies to be able to.. that kinda sucked..
  2. i never had a mac myself, but when you look at what they put in their machine, the Mac Pro for example, its always rock solid server hardware. But for a normal user, it seems like a waste to buy the equivalent of a server when all you need is the web, a little music and some videos.. I mean of course the Xeon will be faster and more reliable, but its often twice the price. We dont all need ECC enabled RAM.. :D That said, i've been looking at the Mac Mini lately, and they look pretty sweet.. :P Of course if your a gamer you probably want to be able to upgrade the video card at some point.. And with a Mac, there is not much choice... You Pay the Heavy price or you build a Hackintosh..
  3. i wanted SweetDave at first but there was like at least 5 different people that i found that where using it. At the time, the 3133t writing style was pretty popular so i ended up with Swe3tDave.
  4. dont buy the thing, there, problem fixed.. Before buying always ask yourself: How much am i willing to pay for a brick?
  5. woohoo giveaway.. ;) https://twitter.com/swe3tdave/status/340813978584375297 https://www.facebook.com/swe3tdave/posts/10151704753744026
  6. i googled your drive part number, other people with the same drive seems to be having similar problems. i do suspect a firmware problem with the drive at this point. what seems to be happening for others at least, is that the writes are slowing down over time. The bigger the file, the slower the drive becomes. Try contacting Western Digital with the issue, they will probably tell you to run their diagnostic software, so you should try that before contacting them. Oh and you should really backup your data somewhere else first. Anyway, unless they release a firmware update for the drive, your going to have to buy a new drive.
  7. might be an issue with the z77 chipset. try to get the latest drivers from intel.
  8. Could you post a picture of that or something because i've seen a lot of bootmgr missing, but never dying.. i'm kind of stumped myself.. :D What is the server your using? Some server motherboards have a complicated setup process you dont want to forget or you might have these kind of problems. Are you sure your using updated drivers? You might be having a power supply or a excess heat issue you should check that as well.
  9. how many core on your cpu? Check if your Operating System is actually detecting all the core?
  10. there are some good software uninstallers out there.. Revo uninstaller maybe?
  11. i was thinking of a volume normalizer maybe?
  12. Personally i would advise against using a Windows copy modded by someone else. It could easily contain undetectable trojan, keyloggers and other such things. Its a very bad idea.
  13. too bad its a laptop, i was wondering if you could use an teensy or something like that to control the fan speeds... :D But that might be beyond what even i can do... Could be a cool project though.
  14. Personnally i think that if your seriously considering on using Windows as an operating system, you should use Norton 360 Premium, the one with the 25Gig of online backup, and set it to backup all your important document and pictures. Then get yourself an external hdd, one with those one-click backup so that you can add that "one-click" on your daily routine. Dont forget, you can always reinstall windows with all your software, but your data is priceless. So Backup and then Backup again somewhere else just to be sure.
