Slottr got a reaction from Eigenvektor in What is the difference between a library and an API?
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/

stdio is a library because its a localized functional system with no external integrations. When you call the windows.h header you're calling the windows library to interact with it internally. The API call is a wrapper for whatever the API contains - generally more libraries.

If you look at windows.h you'll see specifically what you're touching.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/winbase/

You may also want to brush up on what header files actually do- and how they interact with overarching programs.

I had the same dilemma - didn't find the price jump worth it at all for the features.

If you want to be very particular with the sleep tracking, series 9 will likely be the way to go- SE will do the same but just won't be as detailed.

For gaming, and the microphone dilemma, just grab the TYGR's. They're a very good set of cans

Yeah, json would be the most ideal or some csv if you are more used to the table format used in sql database.

For both json or table format, I would used a library. Too much work to write your own serialization and deserialization parser.

Motherboard doesn't use standard 24 pin ATX power so you'd need some kind of adapter.

    Update to this:

Ran TCP Optimizer, rebooted, and seems to have fixed the issue.
Digging through right now to find out what it exactly changed, I saw a number of reg key directories in the log files.

Should be fine, transcoding shouldn't require anywhere near full bandwidth - and especially if you're just lightly transcoding here and there I wouldn't worry about it.

Slottr got a reaction from Issac Zachary in What is the Apple Ecosystem and why do people like it?
There's no other array of hardware that matches how well Apple's works together. It's incredibly seamless.

When those reference "the ecosystem" its the collection of phones, laptops, watches, tablets, desktops, etc that all work extremely well together over apples existing infrastructure.

People aren't buying iPhones for the hardware. They're fine for performance, but the software is really robust. The cameras are at most fine, and they perform heavy tasks fine.

Because of market share, developers generally focus on iOS rather than Android as that is where the significance of their sales are.

This was communicated, but not well enough. There's an existing overlap of Apple Music and its accessory apps on Windows, however iTunes is still technically supported. I believe they're in an extremely odd transition period.

You have to keep the application running. It needs the client on both ends to connect. Killing the app kills the tether
