  1. When I turned it on originally it had that corrupt file message. Right now I’m in the midst of that restore default settings image I posted. I don’t want to restart and risk damaging the hard drive.
  2. Okay so. I bought a second hand PS3 and when I turned it on it showed this messge “the file system on the system storage is corrupted and will be restored”, I hit “x” as requested and it would load up to 100% restart and do the whole thing over agin. So following the directions from a video on YouTube I decided to restore it to its default settings through the “secret menu”. Anyway, this was about 24 hours ago, and I realized that I did not hook it up via LAN to my internet. I know by tuning it off now I risk damage to the hard drive. So is the PS3 capable of restoring to the default settings without a internet connection? If not what should I do next? It’s been on the same screen since I started it.
  3. Which one do you think would be more helpful the magnetic board or the anti static tray?
  4. Hi I know nothing about computers and I'm already ordering a tool kit for my bf from IFIXIT and saw the anti static project tray and the magnetic mat. Wondering if any of you have used these and found it helpful and which one do you like better/ works better? Please just let me know your thoughts on this
  5. Yeah he has three monitors. as much as I love him I can not add on to this. His desk is already so crowded
  6. Okay. I'm looking at their website and the kit is $65 and I mean it's tools. And I know things are more expensive in the computer world, but is this kit really worth it? Would you be excited if this was your gift? (To me it seems like it would be a sarcastic oh yay something I can use versus something that is fun)
  7. Forgive me for asking a potentially stupid question but, these are working for on a computer yes? Not something else? And I know he has a little magnetic screwdriver that helps grabs the screws, so would this kit still be better? Essentially I guess I want to know what is so great about this kit?
  8. Can't we are in a long distance relationship right now I live in a different country
  9. So I'm trying to think what I can get for my bf as a present for Christmas (I plan ahead). As I am completely clueless about computers I have no idea what to get him. This is all the info I can provide unfortunately and I'm sorry that is vague, he likes PC Games he rarely buys them and usually downloads, he likes Steam but I don't want to get him a gift card. I just got him a new headset so I know he's fine on that end, he bought a new wireless mouse recently. He has built his own computer (I have no idea what his current build is) I do however know that there is one of those water cooling system thingys in it. Ands that's all I got, if there's something new that's cool in the computer world that just came out or some kind of cool accessory (I know Linus talks about those at the end of his videos) please tell me. I really need any ideas possible because I have none. Or maybe something computer-y related that would be a cute gift from your gf? Any ideas and thoughts are welcome! Thanks in advance!
  10. I saw the magazine at the store and was considering getting a subscription for my boyfriend as a present. But I wasn't sure of the quality (I'm not much of a gamer). So have any of read it? Do you love it or hate it? Thanks
  11. How rude! You are my boyfriend and claiming I am stupid with computers when we both know when my laptop isn't working I smack it and this fixes it perfectly.... Please ignore my user name
