Need help! 

This stupid thing decided to shit itself so the problem is somethign called a network controlller and bluetooth is missing and despite re-installing the WIFI driver it is still being stupid and refuses to interwebs! What the H is a Network Controller and why is it needed for wifi plus where can I get a driver for it?!!

Is it worth buying now or are the drivers still a dumpster fire?

Hi I need a tool to make multiple files into a playable disc for a blue-ray player/pc anything with a blue-ray disc drive. (25GB discs)

My last attempt with IMGburn only moved the files to the disc and that did not work, at the very least not on my PS5...

Yes. CPU cooler and CPU socket torque is very crucial and can result in behavior like that. You can also put too much torque and push pins too much and overcome their springiness. All you can do is test the CPU and GPU on a different board.

If a problem is present is it better to tightening more or try to reduce the pressure first?

I am not getting any signal on the PCI-E it's either my GPU or the cooler was to tight, any way to know if the board is broken? Like the pins.

This is why I keep cheap, outdated, but known working parts around for tinkering. (An old GeForce 9400, the lowest-end CPU for a given socket, low capacity DIMMs...) That way you've got the best chance possible to have some combination of parts that will POST.

 

Are you getting any sort of error code out of the motherboard? What kind of RAM are you using?

Samsung ECC memory, it came in a combo with the CPU and motherboard. (it only say no signal)

Are you giving the GPU enough power?

Yes the PSU have powered a GTX 970 in the past, I am a bit hassitant to put in the GTX 970, the 960 might have been damaged by the board? So you suggest I test it in another PC? If it works there I can assume the board is faulty? Which means I most source another x99 or use somethign else?

Personally, I run TrueNAS Scale. It's Linux-based, has built in support for Docker containers, there's an extensive community plug-in library, it supports ZFS out of the box, and it doesn't cost anything.

 

Unraid is free to try, but costs $30 to keep. It's been in a few LTT videos, but I haven't tried it myself.

 

OpenMediaVault is another Linux-based option, but it doesn't get the wide adoption and fanfare TrueNAS does.

My Ryzen 5 3600 reaches 86c when using cinebench stress test with a FX-8370 cooler, not that unusual?

I mixed my RAM, it needed manual tuning but it worked just fine. 

Now for it to have best chance of success you should make sure both kits sticks have same memory chips! 

For me it was 2x8 and 2x8 of Samsung C-DIE so they were easilly compatible once manual tunning was done.

11th gen was the first time since 6000 series Intel actually made NEW cores, the Zen2 on the other hand is a huge upgrade from Zen and Zen+ but the issues with the 4100 and 4500 is that their L3 cache is so small! Personally I would aim for 5500 or above unless you can find the older Ryzen 5 3600 on sale cheaper? The 3600 is near the 5500!

I would pick Zen2 over Skylake refresh 10th gen... Now that being said I think you should consider another chip in the AM4 family or aim for 11th gen. UwU

Is the FCLK 1:1 one on these chips? I really wanna know since the more interesting 4800S is about to hit the market and comes with a RX 6600, so what speeds does its FCLK run at? Is it even 1:1? I seen some test show the bandwith to be insane tough...

What killed your laptop? If the HDD killed your laptop I'd highly advise against plugging it into your PC.

 

Do you have a back-up/ old system you could test it on?

Well the computer does not light up when charger is plugged in, it was a bright flash from the screen when it happened suspect a fuze or cap went kaboom inside? Sounded like a click or poof...

I do have a desktop with a HDD reader so that should be fine? Just worried the drive died to or that it's encrypted by Windows?
