  1. I’m soon going to be changing ISP and getting a 1000/1000mbps internet connection and I was wondering if anyone knew of things that I could run or community projects to utilise some bandwidth (because why not) as well as all the usual stuff eg own cloud server, VPN, plex. Thanks.
  2. Yep just what I found then. Thanks for the help
  3. Sorry! I'm specifically looking for metal to match an aesthetic as all other sockets are metal.
  4. I have been installing cat6a throughout my house and i'm now at the proccess of installing backboxes and faceplates. Does anyone know where I can find metal cat6a rated single port wall/face plates (with cat6a rated keystones).I have looked and can't find anything. I know plastic ones exist and i have seen these ones (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007CVCTPO/ref=ewc_pr_img_5?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&th=1 )but im not sure if they are ok for cat6a. I'm in the uk as well so the face plate needs to fit a single gang back box 35mm deep. Thanks
  5. Hi, For those not in the UK, Virgin Media (VM) are an isp who deliver broadband via HFC (Hybrid fibre coax) and supply their own router, modem box that you have to use even if you set it to just being a modem which is what I want to do. However when I set the router into modem mode the IP is changed from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1. I want my pfsense router to be a 10.0.10.x (/24). If I did this would I still be able to login to the VM hub/modem? As far as I can tell I cannot change the IP of the VM modem. Thanks
  6. Hi, On MSI's website they have 2 TPM modules listed (TPM 2.0 MS-4462 and TPM 2.0 MS-4136). Does anyone know where these can be purchased from in Eurpe/UK? and if MSI have a TPM module thats compatible with 200 series intel boards, i'm having trouble finding anything outside of USA. thanks
  7. Reinstalling windows would probably work. But since you dont want to do that it sounds like the original admin profile you were using may have become corrupted. MS have this article not sure if its much help though. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/-windows-cannot-access-the-specified-device-path-or-file-error-when-you-try-to-install-update-or-start-a-program-or-file-46361133-47ed-6967-c13e-e75d3cc29657
  8. Hi, have you tried to reset your graphics driver? you can do this by pressing Win + Ctrl + Shift + B keys, assuming your keyboard is still working.
  9. Alright, thanks. I'll go with the gold then.
  10. Take a look at the LTT forum guide on M.2 SSD's to find one that suits your budget/capacity as well as one with a reasonable reputation: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1092033-ssd-tier-list/ However any M.2 SSD with an M Key type and any of these numbers: 2242/2260/2280 will fit. Hope this helps
