I did consider ecc ram but as its only media i decided not to bother as i'm under the impression that if something happens and i haven't got ecc its only the file i'm using that can corrupt? I was looking at the wd reds but the seagate appeared to have better reviews, never had any dealings with HGST

Hi LTT Been lurking for a while but never posted any build logs yet and thought its time i did. So i currently have a rather large media and at times has up to 4 tvs streaming from it so im wanting to build a second pc to store this library on and stream from using plex here is a hardware list of parts i will be using CPU: Intel Core i3-4170 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor Motherboard: MSI H81I Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Storage: Seagate 4TB 3.5" NAS HDD X2 Case: Fractal Design Node 304 (White) Mini ITX Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply Im unsure whether to run freenas on it or windows 7/10 if anyone has any idea which would be better please post which one and why and ill get some pictures up next week when i start building ill also gets some pictures up of my main build for you to look at. Frog Tape is decorators tape which is low tack thats why it peeled back i always use 3m masking tape its always been best for spraying for me!
