I always find it weird for mobile devices that one would call anything internal to a phone a powersupply (even if it is)

your PC you call the thing that converts 120VAC to 12VDC the PSU. why would you not call the thing in your phone charging setup that converts 120VAC to 5VDC/20VDC the PSU.

Powerbricks for all other use cases are called the power supply. why for mobile phones would you change the definition?

I do think colloquially we play too fast and lose with some of these words. Some people think the Power supply they use for their iPhone is incompatible with Android for this reason. You should not conflate the power cord with the power supply for this reason IMO

However, for the OP, you still have to work with them even if that is your thought process. I have zero idea what you wrote in OP since you kept using words wrong, and you are roasting the technician because they chose words that were ambiguous? Idk man.

always thought you needed Dram SSDs for security reasons, i just want to add more pools to have extra copies of my data and plan to to purchase an redundant ATX PSU but those are pricey, if the Cache is handled by trunas then i dont think i need to worry about dram for ssd's unless i can get a good deal on them,

    OS - Trunas

I don’t know what this means. What are you trying to say?

Set it back to default. You don’t need fast RAM for a file server in this use case. Any RAM instability would be catastrophic, so set it back to default speeds since all you are doing is increasing the chance of issue and gaining nothing.

Copying files between computers on your local network does not count against your data cap. That’s only for data that leaves your house, reaching out to the Internet. It doesn’t matter if they’re connecting to Ethernet, WiFi, or any combination of the two.

Update here is picture of the inside of the sleeper PC case and a spot that I cleaned that had the white corrosion but it seemed to be on many other places like I believe if I remember cuz I already forgot near the grounding screws mounts

I had the motherboard for about 30 days from Amazon and just basically outside the return window but went to turn on the system refuse to post took out the motherboard saw several spots of corrosion white corrosion got a stop toothbrush with isopropyl alcohol and now what boots I don't know if my case had anything to do with it or if the motherboard is going to go bad

I nvr had much money and just now finishing up grad school, with the falling prices in NVME was finally able to moved my main storage to a 3x4tb NVME i know enough and comfortable with the raid setup as i could have done JBOD and if one disks fails i could recover the data of the other drives but did the raid for life expectancy as you don't want to fill up one drive completely but RAID i guess has always been poor man way of getting higher capacity as it was still cheaper to go 3x4tb NVME than one 8tb NVME could have went sata 8tb but got done with all my fun benchmarks and finally got to experience full gen 3 speed by 8 i believe that what DMI 3.0 has for my MB MSI z490 Gaming Plus even when i put the Asmedia Card and the 3rd nvme drive on the GPU and M.2_1 slot i only got about 5 gigs a second and these gen five drives already hit 2-3x times faster, and makes me wonder if the end consumer will need those speeds for storage in the future, i can only see one is for archiving storage as transfering 10tb in an hour than 8+ for 10tb hard drive config be alot better

Moral of my story is im just excited to finally get to experience full gen 3 speeds, i dont do much on my main system other than media play back and some light gaming like Apex might go thru my steam library soon

Take many pictures before you send it off in future concerns on a rma. This is for proof. Otherwise, no one can take your word that it was you, MSI, or the shipping company that was transporting it.

Other than that,   I am unsure of what you want us to say. I am sorry for your bad experience.

From HDD to SSD hence why we don't recommend HDD for boot drives yes there is a considerably faster but , for SSD to SSD very little difference unless your video editing then I just have a dedicated scratch disk

the xbox 360 wasn't EOL in 2013 though, 2016 afaik. also, gta 5 has been enhanced multiple times, the original was much lower quality, so it wasn't as huge of a downgrade imo to make it work on 360.

Right we are already in PCI-E 5.0 in new high end MB's and I'm like unless i switched to Pure NVME storage might be nice for a new retro case build then it be a different story or with LTT petabyte SSD storage solution but most people dont have 1million dollars to spend on such a setup

Right i use a program called DVD fab version 8 as i allow a 30 full function and need to create a dedicated pc had an old server pc case that could hold 6 5.5 bays and it was a beast,  now its down to four drives on a different case, but almost prefer DVDs for most movies as i haven't figured out the Blu-ray side of things and the massive date storage needed to hold blu ray files even if you just copy the main movie

you cant mine BTC with a GPU, and the current block reward is 6.25BTC and if you are a solo miner like me you can look up the odds of finding a block by inputting your hashrate into solochance.com and it'll tell you how long the odds are for you to hit a block 8ph/s usually equates to 1 block every 132 days but it could take longer or shorter. i was solo mining with 120th/s and hit a block when it was still 12.5BTC however there was a glitch in the server i was using at the exact millisecond i found that block and i didnt get the block and that was after 2 weeks when the odds were 26 years to find a block.
But i digress, no BTC on a GPU
And don't use nicehash their fees are complete BS. use something like phoenix miner on ethermine, loe fees and very nice UI.

After reading this thread, I pulled my apart and replaced the thermal paste in my with some Cooler Master paste.

I had to install mine in a very unconventional way in my case. Afterwards, it was very loud. Figuring it was an airflow issue I got out the dremel. After that mod, it was even louder due to the lack of sound barrier.

Last night I changed out the paste and it got much quieter. It is still very audible on the shelf under my TV but its more manageable. I will probably try to find a way to exhaust more hot air out of the case.
