  1. ^^ I would go with that.... It really depends on what you want with the hard drives tho... you could do two 500GB SSD's and raid them. Also is 650W adequatebeing a gold certified?
  2. Hi all! I just wanted to share my experiences just out of frustration that I've had over the past couple months. Recently I purchased the GTX 970 SSC on Amazon for a decent price and decided I wanted to water cool it. Not knowing too much I just figured.....hey I can buy just any full cover water block and it work on the card no big deal.... I now know that doesn't work.... I've noticed that people with the EVGA GTX 970 SSC 04G-P4-3975-KR were having a hard time finding a full covered water block that would work with this non reference board... After going through about 3 full cover blocks I decided to start contacting all manufactures about the compatibility for my card. After hearing "No we have no plans to make any for that card" so many times I thought I was out of luck..... The next couple days later I got an email back from Bitspower stating that they think their full cover cooler would be compatible with my card. I immediately ordered the card. Coming from Taiwan it took about two weeks. Upon looking at the card I was excited and worried.... I was scared it wasn't going to fit on the card.... I took the card apart removing the stock cooler and proceeded to try and fit the block to the card... It didn't fit!!!!!! All the capacitors lined up..... all the VRAM lined up..... all the mounting holes lined up......WHY was this not working.... Upon further investigation I noticed a two pin connector on the end of the card..... I knew this wasn't my fan pin connection because that was powered by a 5 Pin connector. This connector was blocking the block from being able to lay completely flat on my card.... After about 3 hours on contemplating de soldering it I figured.... why not... I de-soldered the two pin connector and WALLAH!!! it fit!!! The Temps run perfect with a full load never reaching over 100F I know it sounds crazy and I don't recommend just de soldering things off your GPU because for one it voids your warranty and two I don't want you to break anything. ** Do it at your own risk** I just wanted to share my experience because of the frustration I had with the entire process.... Time and Money wasted that I could of spent on a new card or the step up program. So if you have a EVGA GTX 970 SSC 04G-P4-3975-KR I would recommend the BP-WBVGNGTX970ESACXNPAC full block cooler. http://www.performance-pcs.com/bitspower-vg-ngtx970esacx-acrylic-top-with-stainless-panel-clear.html
