  1. of course the battery needs a few hours of light typing and data collection for lectures. gpu just needs to be be good. like a 1050 or even a 1030 maybe r7ish for the amd side.
  2. no limit on weight. she told me she made a steam account. i asked why. she said adventure capitalist. so no she doesn't play games. she has a desktop made from my retired gaming parts to play her occasional normie games. that ebay link is on the bestbuy ebay account which is why i considerd it. my price is usd. battery life is not needed just portability.
  3. ok long story short my sister is college educated and still has 5 years or more of grad school. She started working in a lab this summer. Her major is biochemestry. Her 2013 toshiba sattelite bought at a pawn shop for 150 bucks 5 years ago is not taking the protein folding she has to do. She needs this to last through her entire college career. She needs.... full keyboard with num pad for data entry. backlit keyboard 1080p or higher screen 15 inch size to be able to take it to class easily 256 gb or more of ssd storage windows 10 fast quad or more core cpu atleast 8gb of ram actual gpu no integrated she wants... glossy touchscreen dvd drive ethernet vga or vga compatible with an adaptor standard like displayport retail Pricepoint: 800-1200 we have picked out: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202353950891 any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

  6. hello guys im stumped and i think i need to return my mouse but i will start here to see if anyone has any idea, yesterday i received my brand new master mouse pro l from cooler master and i plugged it in to my pc it worked great . i noticed that the back right pinky button (for me it worked well with my pinky) changed the rgb color and the dpi button on the bottem changed the speed of the mouse and the indicator lights on the side changed accordingly i then downloaded master mouse pro l software from the cooler master product page and installed it. it was version 0.52 i think i ran it and it told me my firmware was out of date so i updated it but it failed. all the lights were off, it was on the highest dpi and the scroll wheel wouldn't work. i unplugged and re plugged it and it worked fine so i then tracked down the newest version of cooler master portal (v1.00) and the master mouse pro l software (v1.01) and tried again same thing happened but i re plugged and it fixed, i then uninstalled anything i could related to my old Chinese off brand mouse, and restarted my pc. i tried updating it again and it is now stuck in that no lights high dpi mode and shows no firmware version when i check the software and will not let me attempt a fimware update. i assume the firmware is just corrupt or something. any idea?
  7. im looking for a case with really good dust filters. its going in the shop room of my school as a present to my favorite teacher. with all the dust he has to replace the plasma table computer every year because it dies. so our plasma table pc is never a good one. it cant have the gamer astetic, just needs good easy to clean filters. size doesnt matter im going to build the pc around the case not vice versa.
  8. http://www.ncixus.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=116456&promoid=1308 usually 70 ish. ends the 22nd
  9. i was messing around with some power settings via regedit for some super user configuration but i messed with the cpu and now its limited to 55% or x10 multiplier aka the minimum for this cpu. the power plans on windows aren't limiting it. i swapped to high performance plan. i reset powercfg and tried some utilities that make power settings easier to mess with but no luck. any ideas? im 99.999% sure its windows because in Ubuntu, windows xp mini (hirens), and remix os it will boost up to its limit of 1.8 ghz. its a dell inspiron 3541.with a touch screen at 1366x768. (this laptop is secondary, i rarely use it but i like my settings as they are on my main rig.) things to note: 55% limit for cpu when you enter resource monitor its limited to 0.99 ghz even in prime95,cinebench,and other cpu burn tests. i cant reinstall windows until i get more hdd space in my main rig and move about 500gb of data over to it.
  10. it might be good to mention that it state happening when i tried cpu unparking but i later tried other newer utilities for it trying to fix it but no luck. i know its dumb
  11. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FHYQBP windows included black and white theme with liquid cooling and great board for overclocking and 2.5 tb of storage 2 tb hdd 0.5 tb high speed ssd. to bring it under budget just use a dfferent cpu cooler or dont use one for now just use stock.
  12. this is causing my cpu to not go above 0.99 ghz. things i have tried: resetting power settings high performance plan prime 95 wont let it go any farther than 0.99 although my cpu is 1.8 ghz its a oem pc and ive checked to make sure and there are no bios settings ive tried cpu unparking which i believe made the pc perform even worse. yes cpu-z confirms that its multiplier and clock-speed i limited to minimum. in ubuntu the cpu works just fine so im 95% sure it isnt hardwarre related.
