  1. I'm using a 5800x in a Fractal Meshify C, so I'm almost in the same boat. I'm currently using the Noctua NH-D15 for an an air cooler and I'm blown away by it's performance and noise. I do not get hotter than 60C at 4.5Ghz overclocked and it does not run any louder than my GPU fans. It does very very well for what I need it to do. I would recommend that over any liquid cooler I've had experience with in the past.
  2. that is crystaldiskmark, which tests the speed of your hard drive. You need to use crystaldiskinfo, which helps determine any errors in your hard drive. Follow the download button for the link I sent.
  3. I would recommend CrystalDiskInfo to run a comprehensive test with S.M.A.R.T. to see if everything inside is in working order. Otherwise a new hard drive (or solid state) is recommended to prevent data loss.
  4. I must've been using the wrong filters on pcp, the $/gb is better on two 8tb drives, thanks. And I didn't even think of NVENC. 5. A sound file might be really helpful.
  6. Plex cannot transcode HDR content meaning all 4K content will look washed out and oddly colored, like watching it on a non-hdr monitor. Directplay is required to view 4K HDR. All things considered I did put together a beefy server build for you, with a 12-core processor, 16GB ram, 16TB of storage, W10H and 2x BD drives. 7. Yes it does, that's why I mentioned using an older phone to play the files on a microSD card, but it only outputs 16 bit, while my files are 24 bit. It's also really hard to control remotely.
  8. Hey all, I currently have a Bose Wave system, model awrcc1, set up in my room, and I love the sound. I also have about 250 GB of 24-bit flac files that I have stored on an external drive. I also have them stored in a microSD card in my s8, and I use that as my daily driver, but I would also like to listen to them out loud with my Bose Wave system. What would be the best way to play these files on my Bose Wave system? It has a front CD slot, and I know it's supports those special file CDs, where doesn't have to meet the 80 minutes proportions and you can just put files on there and burn them and it plays kind of thing, but I don't want to burn through a bunch of CDs (pun intended), and also that would only be 16 bit flac. I have tried using a Samsung S3 mini and a moto g 2013 as sort of like an iPod, because then I can control it from my desk with the TeamViewer mobile host app, but I'm not satisfied with the sound quality, laggyness, using TeamViewer in its entirety, and the fact that both of those devices only support 16 bit audio out of there headphone jacks. Is there a way to hook up the hard drive to some sort of player and output to 24 bit through 3.5 mm? Is there some other way that I haven't thought of?
  9. #1 has windows and is always detected in the boot menu. #2 has Zorin installed and is not showing in boot menu. #2 is also shown in Windows 10 task manager as online and disk management as two partitions.
  10. Does she need that much for just browsing and office?
  11. Build link is private, so we can't view it. I would rely on iGPU and put the money towards more ram for multiple chrome tabs.
  12. When I want to install the OS it detects the USB, I install the OS, I unplug the USB, drive that I installed OS to doesn't show up hitting F12 for boot menu.
  13. I unplug when it says restart to finish installation every time.
  14. Hey all, I have an Acer Aspire e5-575 and I have a 500gb sata SSD that i have windows on, and i just installed a 120gb nvme m.2 ssd for a second os. I flashed zorin 15 core with rufus and booted it, installed it, created a secure boot password etc, and it is not recognized in the boot menu, when both drives are found in BIOS. I have installed zorin in uefi, secure boot and no secure boot, and in legacy and it is never recognized in the boot menu. The usb drive used to install zorin shows up every time.
  15. Assuming you are using Steam, it is not possible to transfer a game while it is installed, but you can uninstall it, (and although it might be a bitch to wait) and then the next time you install it and see this window choose your new volume under the new drive letter instead
