    gibe nao plz !!!

I have no graphics card in my system, and the AMD integrated graphics suck too much. I am trying to make a system that can stream games through the internet to my laptop without me actually having to play them. If that doesn't work, I'll just make it an HTPC/server and scrap the laptop altogether.

R9 390 - it's better at 1080p and even better at higher resolutions

    R9 380 is about 15% faster than a 960 and isn't bottlenecked by the 128-bit memory interface.

This video should help you get a decent understanding of how to overclock your card.

MSI only because Sapphire warranty isn't transferable and if you decide to sell the card later, that affects the value of it. Their Vapor X cards are the exception though. Everyone wants the Vapor X's.

Fallout 4 is a mess, so it's not a good game to base an upgrade on until it gets sorted out. But you can't go wrong with a 300 series Radeon GPU and their VRAM advantage over the Nvidia GPUs. Also are you open to buying a used GPU?

Faster ram certainly DOES help more when the CPU is actually pegged at high usage for extended periods.
With multiple programs running, proper multitasking or HEAVY CPU usage scenario's.

If its only a margin of a few dollars or less, go for it.
There are small minute differences between performance in every day use, but when it counts at full CPU usage, is where the benefit lies.
Faster ram isn't only just for boosting igpu bandwidth.

Even if your motherboard allows 1866/2133 out of your 2400mhz that doesn't mean the benefit still isn't there as I suggested above, or that you couldn't use the memory in another build at any given time or swap it out when your financially equipped to do so.
As I said though... If its only a margin of a few dollars or less, go for it.

AMD stated that the cores aren't like normal cores from the very beginning--this stinks of consumer entitlement for easy money to me.This is coming from an Intel user sitting on Sandy Bridge because AMD hasn't really put out anything to justify switching platforms.

    >Buys AMD to support them
    >Wants AMD to best Intel
    >Files lawsuit which would take away R&D funding for better chips

Wont go to far. No concrete definition on what a 'core' is.
Technically, it have 4 modules, with 8 clusters.

There is not a huge difference between the two in performance but it's definitely noticeable. if they are the same price or within $10-$15 of each other the R7 260X is definitely worth buying as long as it's the 2GB version. The 250X = HD 7770 and the 260X = HD 7790.

Same here. I personally like the "on the edge" stage AMD is at now for my personal benefit. I get cheaper CPU's, cheaper mobos and cheaper GPUs based on this. I can find stuff for much cheaper than it would be normally. I putting an AMD athlon x4 860k and r7 260x sff GPU into a nice itx mobo+case and running it as a server.

Also, I am the kind of guy who roots for the underdog, especially in the corporate world. I hate it when big companies act like total @$$H0!E$ and get screw over their customers. This is  fuel for my semi-hatred of Intel and NVDA. Don't get me wrong. I will actually buy and reccomend their parts, it is just that I hate them being so... But I digress.

Really not a fan of this move. I just don't see any reason whatsoever why Nvidia wouldn't let me install drivers without giving them my email. You might say "why do you care if they want your email" but I think you should flip the question around, why does Nvidia want my email just because I want to install some driver? I really don't see Nvidia's justification that it "will reduce headaches for both casual and hardcore gamers" holds any water whatsoever.

This will just cause confusion because I am pretty sure those 80-90% who already use GFE don't have a login to Nvidia to use it. Nobody I know with an Nvidia card does at least.

fuck that, i'm already annoyed with geforce expire being crap sitting in my hard drive because i have a 500 series card which make the software damn near useless, also everytime i try to update drivers via expirience it ALWAYS fails and the download is slower that geforce.com.

with this i'm starting to not consider nvidia cards for when i have money to upgrade.

i don't mind most of the shit the have done recently but putting fucking drivers behind email registration is fucking moronic IMO.

It will struggle, badly. The vram will be a problem, and the general performance will be a problem. On low settings, perhaps it can manage 45+ fps, but like, do not expect a miracle. A 390 in this place would absolutely dominate a triple panel setup compared to a 970.

Well at this point you'll be comparing features from what the cards offer. Whether you want Nvidia or amd features. For vram it'll depend on how far you want to take your modding. The 970 and 390 are pretty much neck and neck.
And before someone comes in and exclaim "OH the 970 can do 1500mhz, the 390 only 1200mhz" stop. What people seem to forget is the amd cards get more fps per clock than Nvidia cards. Even with the 970 at 1500+Mhz and the 390 at 1200+Mhz range you'll still get the same amount of performance increase.
