Long story short I found install drivers that worked that were different to the ones offered on the manufacturers website (wtf?) I run the driver install and now the port is working. P.S. Thank you Drak3 for telling me to reinstall my OS because without this I wouldn't have backed up and looked through all my files to find a driver that worked.

My mobo is the msi b85-g43 Gaming. I have tried installing the "killer ethernet" drivers from the manufacturers website but when I run it it notifies me that it can not detect supported hardware. When I search the network connections all I see is WiFi and VMware Ethernet connections. What can I do to find the Ethernet connection to my home network and get it working?

Monitor does not detect signal after installing new GPU
organ_pleasin replied to R3-Flex's topic in Graphics Cards
I haven't experienced this but I suspect it could be your drivers. Uninstall the old video drivers and install new ones for your specific card, perhaps on the amd/Radeon website (just google it). I'd also suggest looking online for tutorials for installing new video drivers because I haven't had to go through that so I don't know if there are any major problems you may run into. -
OBS Studio Black Screen on Game Capture
organ_pleasin replied to rice4thewin's topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Sometimes OBS is a bit glitchy, this happens to me sometimes. I try reopening/restarting OBS after the game I'm playing is running. After opening and closing things OBS may detect the game. Also sometimes it's just a matter of waiting a couple of seconds for OBS to recognise a game has gone full screen. I know this is vague, but I hope this helps in some way. -
Need Help Android Java Over writing a TextView with two methods.
organ_pleasin replied to Sergio45's topic in Programming
Based on first impressions: have you tried to change onClicktwo to just onClick in the punchLine on click listener? If it's not that I'll get back to you later in the day when I'm infront of my computer. -
Did a bit more looking and I found this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1060-g1-gaming-water-cooled-graphics-card-wc-15c-tl.html Hope my input helps you.

I don't suspect you'll find much if any, 1060 isn't marketed to people who are into water cooling, Maybe something like the NZXT G10 could help? Edit: Something SIMILAR to the G10, I think the G10 is only compatible with the reference/founders edition from nVidia.

Questions about Anti static wristband.
organ_pleasin replied to FlameLink101's topic in Power Supplies
Attaching it to the case should be fine. If you chose not to use one like most people, be careful not to do anything stupid and you should be fine. -

Hero is the higher end Version of the Ranger, Both are ATX Gene is the mATX version of the RoG Motherboards. That's just the basics, for specifics you can select the mobo's you want to compare on their website. https://www.asus.com/au/motherboards/ -
Make sure to include where you're from for referencing purposes. US? Canada?

Kaspersky Total Security vs Norton Security Deluxe
organ_pleasin replied to Jetbluster's topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I chose to buy a copy of Kaspersky Internet Security after I did research on my options of Anti-Virus software. I would Definitely recommend KIS over Norton. -
LG PF1000U Ultra Short Throw Projector Giveaway
organ_pleasin replied to CPotter's topic in LTT Releases
Nice and sleek looks. It's not easy to take projectors everywhere due to how wide they are, and the mirror helps protect the lens from scratches -

you don't need to quit all running applications to stop Skype processes....

That narrows it down, something using audio is currently in use so perhaps if you have Skype running maybe that's preventing the sleep.
