BX500 is DRAM-less. Still should be much better than a HDD

cashan got a reaction from 5x5 in Game not using Dedicated GPU on Laptop!
You should be able to set the usage preferences in the nvidia control panel its under "3d settings". There you can set your laptop to globally use the discrete gpu or set different settings for different programs.

cashan got a reaction from LukeSavenije in Compact PSUs?
Id recomment the pico psu. It uses an external powersuppl like a laptop. If you want a bit more headroom in power you could go with one from hdplex. Then if youve a smaller budget id suggest an Sfx psu. Also some server powersupplies are really small too

You can just connect the nics, setup a static ip on boath and it will work fine.
this isn't a thing anymore, normal cables work fine.

cashan reacted to Ssiss in Is my RTX 2080 being bottlenecked?
It shouldn't get bottlenecked with an OC on most games. Maybe Battlefield due it being cpu intensive. The bottleneck is more apparent at lower resolutions, higher framerstes so yeah you may be losing 15fps or so on bfv at 1440p compared to a 9700k.

cashan got a reaction from LukeSavenije in What resolution should you shoot at if you have a display of 1080p only
phones have tiny screens tho. Like it wouldnt make that much of a difference if the 4k monitor is somewhat large. I get that there are more factors at play like color n stuff. Just reflecting

cashan reacted to LukeSavenije in What is the realistic minimum for this setup?
I would recommend going to a i3 for more cores... 8 gigs is enough for most vm's, but it depends on your needs with it

cashan reacted to -rascal- in What is the difference ?
Corsair offers their Vengeance LPX RAM in different colours....red, black, white, blue,...at one point green.
The particular ones you are looking at differ in RAM frequency, and different timings/latency.

cashan reacted to LukeSavenije in What is the difference ?
the black ones run at 3000 mhz
the red ones at 2400 mhz
-
cashan got a reaction from LukeSavenije in What is the difference ?
The speed is shown in mHz (megahertz)
-
cashan got a reaction from LukeSavenije in What is the difference ?
okay so the red one in this comparison is running at a slower speed yes. This however, is not the same for all the sticks of this colour. (the red ones can also come in the same speed as the black ones)

what operating system is your PC running?
when did this start to occur?
have you tried to restore to restore point to see if this fixes the problem?
I found this video to help trouble shoot in the helps of fixing it.
go through it and see if it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEdruAg0LII
