  1. I just cleaned it recently by blowing air into the fans. Haven't taken it apart and cleaned thoroughly though. Shouldn't it be just fine just using canned air to clean?
  2. Hey, so I recently notices my gtx 980 is running at around 78-80°C degrees at around 90% fan speed. I know people say under 90°C fine but I just like having things running at lower temperatures at slower fan speed. I honestly don't remember if it was this hot a while ago but I have only been playing low demanding games recently. I started playing The Witcher 3 again and also tried The Division and they run at around 78-80°C. Recently had my H100i CPU cooler replaced and the guys who replaced it put the fans as intake at the top of the case. Before the replacement I had the top fans as exhaust so I had 2 intake fans at the front, 1 exhaust at rear and 2 H100i stock fans at the top with the radiator as exhaust. I noticed the intake is giving me a little lower temps on the CPU but I honestly don't care about if its running at 40°C or 45°C, I'd rather have a cooler GPU. Could this be the reason for this heat? Because it seems that when I start playing a game the temp is only about 70°C but as i keep playing it gradually rises and I think it peaks around 80°C. And also does anyone here have experience with changing thermal paste on MSI cards? Will it make a big difference if I put something like Arctic MX-4 on it? Thanks
  3. Yes all of that is fine. I think that the issue is that Corsair Link says 0rpm on the pump and in the bios the CPU fan says 0 as well.
  4. Yes I used Arctic MX-4, it seemed fine when I used it. I can't see a date on it.
  5. Yes but I'm thinking that even if it was bad it wouldn't be this much difference. Not 80°C?
  6. Yes the cooling block is connected to the CPU_FAN header
  7. I tried changing the USB header and also tried connecting the CPU fan to CPU fan header 2. I'ts the same thermal paste I used last time. I kept it in a drawer and its maybe about 1 year old, shouldn't that be fine?
  8. Yes I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the setup
  9. Can it just die like that? It was working before I reapplied just an hour ago.
  10. Specs: Corsair GTX H100i Intel i7-4790k MSI Z97 Gaming 5 So I just reapplied my thermal paste, I did it last about one and a half year ago so maybe it wasn't really necessary but I just wanted to do it anyway. It didn't turn out like I wanted because my temps are around 70-80°C now. I don't think that it has anything to do with the application itself because I reapplied it now 3 times just in case. The first time I applied it didn't spread out evenly I think and the second time I put a bit too much. The third time I think it turn out just right though but still the temps are very high. When I open windows and Corsair Link opens up it says pump is at 0rpm. I've gone over the connections many times. The cooling block is connected to CPU Fan 1 in my motherboard and the other connector is connected to the two top fans. The USB in the block is connected to the USB connector in the motherboard. So I really am clueless at what might be wrong which is really annoying.
  11. I would, but I can only really choose between these two. I live in Iceland and we don't have the AOC monitor here and ordering and sending it to me would be cost about the same and be much more trouble
  12. Hello, I wanted to buy a 1440p high refresh rate screen, if I see a nice deal on black friday or soon after. These two monitors seem to be the ones to go for but I'm not 100% sure which one. I wanted the Asus first because I just think it looks a bit nicer but where I live it costs around 300$ more. So recently I've been leaning more towards the Acer for that reason as well as I have read that the QC on the Asus is worse and a greater chance of more backlight bleed and IPS glow on their panels. I have a GTX 980Ti so I think I can run most games in 1440p with decent fps. Anyone who has experience with one of, or both, of these panels? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  13. But it says chrome is only using 300mb - 400mb at most, so that shouldn't be enough to make 16GB of RAM go up to 85% usage.
