  1. I'm forced to use LTE for a few weeks until I'm back to regular cable, but phone (OnePlus 5T) is giving me headaches when playing PUBG whilst thetering connection from the phone. Ping is decent, down speed is pretty good considering it's LTE (~70Mbps) and upload is solid. Only problem is it's that phone randomly restarts the connection. It doesn't completely restart the phone, it just 'signs out' and reprompts me PIN. I've tried booting phone in safe mode, that didn't help. Tried some methods from Google like replacing that USB network driver with Microsoft's driver, and that also didn't help. I'm kind of desperate at this point. EDIT: Trying PdaNet but latency is significantly worse and getting only 1/3 of the speed.
  2. Is there a way I could use Windows 10 cellular network without (Huawei) Mobile Partner? If I uninstall the app, Cellular option disappears from Windows 10 settings. The app seems to cause me a lot of issues, BSOD's and other weird crashes that didn't happen before installing it. I have Huawei E3276 LTE stick and I'm stuck with it for a few weeks until I get back to proper copper.
  3. This would be just a cheaper option if you're itching for an upgrade right now. What I'd do is definitely wait for July and Ryzen 3rd gen to see what they bring before making major decisions. There's also some leaks of GTX 1180 poping on hp's site, so that might be a thing in the meanwhile aswell.
  4. Maybe even staying on same platform isn't a bad option. Just getting 4790k and overclocking it, 8 more GB of DDR3 RAM for cheap and perhaps used 1080Ti or something that could last.
  5. maybe a bit of a overstatement with the bottleneck.
  6. I mean eventually after the GPU, time will close for a CPU aswell, so there's gonna be a lot of options then.
  7. As holiday season is closing in, I'm looking for your thoughts about upgrading my current setup. Current specifications are following: CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k @ 4.6GHz 1.28V - Delidded GPU: iChill X4 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H RAM: 16GB HyperX Fury 1866MHz Case: Fractal Design Define S Fans: 6x Fractal Design Dynamic GP-14 PSU: Corsair RM550x Fully Modular SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB + Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Screens: Dell S2417DG (1440p, 165Hz, G-SYNC) + LG 22EA63 (1080p 60Hz IPS) Keyboard: Logitech G810 Mouse: Logitech G403 Speakers: Logitech Z333 Headset: HyperX Cloud II Webcam: Logitech C920 Microphone: Blue Yeti https://pcpartpicker.com/b/kKq48d In current state of mind, most likely option is to just slap a 1080Ti and call it a day. What would you do?
  8. ...but that's for wind? Why not standard pop filter for it?
  9. That was one of the very likely scenarios Never so far got to max out 16GB :'D What?
  10. My current setup specs are following: CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k @ 4.6GHz 1.28V - Delidded GPU: iChill X4 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H RAM: 16GB HyperX Fury 1866MHz Case: Fractal Design Define S Fans: 6x Fractal Design Dynamic GP-14 PSU: Corsair RM550x Fully Modular SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB & Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Screens: Dell S2417DG (1440p, 165HZ, G-SYNC) + LG 22EA63 (1080p 60Hz IPS) Keyboard: Logitech G810 Mouse: Logitech G403 Speakers: Logitech Z333 Headset: HyperX Cloud II Webcam: Logitech C920 Microphone: Blue Yeti https://pcpartpicker.com/b/kKq48d I was wondering how should I continue with this build, what are your suggestions? Is whole platform change neccessary (Intel 9th gen + Mobo + RAM). Should I just get an GTX 1080Ti or RTX 2080 (whatever the benchmarks closest one is) expecting 4770k can keep up with it? Can the PSU even hold up with an 1080Ti for example? Things that I'm mostly sure I'll do eventually with the build: - Change that 1080p panel with simmilar, same sized Dell 1440p 60Hz panel Feel free to share your thoughts!
  11. I saw that plugin. It supposedly has some audio delay issues and data-rate issues so I'll probably be getting a capture card. Getting a 2nd PC would be really impractical for me, since I'm in a student dorm for the most of the year, or I'm travelling (so new laptop would do me better justice).
  12. I own a community with 73k people and I was thinking of getting back to streaming. I've been streaming mostly PUBG and PC always had issues with lag and choppiness, no matter what encoder I used, platform nor bitrate. I tried with all encoders and different bitrates, but nothing helped. Reinstalling OBS and clearing all setting files also had no effect. (Yes, I've googled). So doing some puzzles in my head, I've came to a conclusion that I might somehow combine getting a new laptop and using it as an video encoding device. My laptop is long overdue for a replacement (A8-4500M APU). Would a laptop with an i7-8750H do a decent job when it comes to X264 encoding? How I would go about doing this whole plan? PC specifications available in the signature below.
  13. No one should decide on anything just based on brand. If they objectively look at each product they're interested in, let them go for it.
  14. Yeah this one is not driver related nor even PC, as same thing happens when I connect the monitor to my laptop via HDMI cable.
  15. For last few days my monitor (LG 22EA63) has been behaving weirdly. It just keeps turning off and on again every time after boot. After ~20mins it stops and behaves normally. I've been reading it might be something with power capacitors that can't hold charge until they warm up. It's a secondary screen so I can live with it for now, but if there's some fix besides getting a new one, I'd be open to ideas. I've tried: +Replugging monitor in another power outlet +Restoring factory defaults in settings on the monitor +DDU & clean driver install +Adding DVI-D->HDMI adapter to eliminate bad HDMI port going bad on GPU +Using laptop as a HDMI output. So it's definitely not PC's fault. All PC specs available in signature.
  16. Besides my S2417DG I have secondary LG 22EA63 screen, which is giving me some headaches now. Last night when I turned off my PC and went to bed I saw some flashing later on. Monitor was "panicking" and switching between "LOOKING FOR SIGNAL" to "GOING IN STANDBY MODE SHORTLY". I didn't think anything major was going on so I just completely flipped the power switch on the power outlet. In the morning monitor started doing same when turned on. It'd just randomly put out image and then turn off, in cycle. I've tried: +Replugging monitor in another power outlet +Restoring factory defaults in settings on the monitor +DDU & clean driver install +Adding DVI-D->HDMI adapter to eliminate bad HDMI port going bad on GPU Anyone has any idea what might be wrong?
  17. That's not really the hardware to stream with. It barely games. (no offense, just stating facts)
  18. AIO's can only dream about being close to NH-D15 in noise department.
  19. But that doesn't assure them there won't be problems with XMP settings. It's always recommended to get 2 same sticks from same kit. Even though, chances of it not working are really low. Just not sure if it's a smart recommendation for work reliant machine.
  20. Also, your University is gonna be able to provide Windows 10 licence for free. Every does. 32GB of RAM in dual channel instead of 16GB single channel, 1050Ti instead of 1060, R7 2700 instead of R5 1600: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Vg36RJ
  21. If there's gonna be little to no GPU workload, you might be better off with 1050 Ti for half the price. The delta would be better allocated in R7 2700. Also you want dual channel memory instead of single channel.
  22. Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and clean up drivers in safe mode.
  23. I'd suggest you to try out OBS and set up NVENC encoding that way. It's same what ShadowPlay is doing, but you just have more control over it. And perhaps ShadowPlay alone is causing those issues.
  24. Could you provide OBS video & encoder settings, aswell as ShadowPlay settings?
